Still not sold on Leonard yet. I just don't see it. N alotta you are forcing it. Put Leonard on the bucks. They don't make the playoffs

I'm a big Kawhi fan, but I think he's still working his way up in terms of taking over games. But we've seen him do that this year more and more, including in the playoffs. The scary thing is that he might still be one or two years from his peak.

But I'm really surprised at how many people say Lebron isn't number one in the League. I'm a Bron-hater but I don't see anyone capable of doing what Lebron does. And who has been doing it for so long. When you factor in everything, Lebron is in a league of his own right now imo. I clown him for 2011 and 2014 but it is what it is. Kawhi is close in the sense that he's as complete as it gets. It's nuances then with KD and Steph who both do some stuff at a higher level than Kawhi, but Kawhi is more complete imo than both.

That's what happens when the team your are playing for a championship beats you 3 times in a row by specifically trying to get you switched on to their best players...

That's what happens when your center gets hurt and your defensive integrity falls apart because now the entire defense is centered around keeping a guy who won mvp away from lebron and kyrie....and if you do that you are just going to concede wide open shots all over the floor...

When you are a two time mvp you should NOT be getting outplayed at your position in the nba finals...and i think we can all agree that kyrie outplayed steph over the course of that series...

When you a two time mvp teams should NOT be hunting you down on defense every...single...fukking...play.

To me an MVP player is a guy you try to stay away from on both ends of the floor, because you know...he is REALLY fukking good so you probably don't want to put yourself in a position to challenge him offensively or defensively because he is going to win that battle a lot.

And yet...Cleveland played the Hunger Games against Steph and in the end the odds were NOT ever in his favor...
What he said. Steph is an amazing offensive player, but to ignore how teams attack him, or how Kerr hides him on the weakest offensive wing on the other team is disingenuous. Its not just that he is a mediocre defender, he is a bad defensive player. Tyron Lue drew up a play to win a championship to specifically attack Steph, and u guys still try to prop up Steph's defense? How Sway?

Harden is the same way. Last night the Spurs got to to an early lead because Harden could not stay in front of Danny Green of all people. People always act like there's only one side of the floor.

First of all you do realize that Kyrie was hitting shots over Klay, Barnes, Iggy, Draymond and anyone else that got in his way during the back half of the Finals right? You claim Steph is a bad defender, but then you post a gif of him playing great defense, constesting Kyrie's shot, and Kyrie doing what he does best. And Kerr doesn't hide him on the weakest offensive wing - Curry is typically guarding his opposite throughout the game. It sounds like you didn't watch the rest of the playoffs either, you know when Curry not only held his own guarding Westbrook, but forced him into tough shots + turning the ball over -

Explain to me how Kerr hides him on the weakest offensive wing when he arguably had more reps guarding Westbrook than any other Warriors player during the WCF, not a meaningless regular season game but the playoffs. :jbhmm:

I really wish folk would stop using instances of Kyrie hitting shots over Curry as cause to say that he's a bad defender. Kyrie hits shots over everyone.

*sees Kyrie draining a 3-pter over Kawhi*

Kawhi's a bad defender. :troll:

Breh, dont be intentionally dense. Just because he matches up with Westbrook well doesn't mean he guards anybody else well. Even in the vid u posted of Kawhi, Tony Parker was guarding Kyrie and got picked so Kawhi switched onto him just before shooting. Kyrie didn't iso on Kawhi cause he aint that stupid. But since u like videos, Im just gonna drop these videos here. In Game 6 of the Finals last year, on the biggest stage in a possible closeout game.

Kawhi can string together more impact plays on both sides of the court than anyone other than LeBron, and he's a more efficient scorer than LeBron. Kawhi is like a basketball robot set to Jordan.

lbj has a TS%

but that's only close because lebron sucked at the ft line and kwahi is great at it. When it comes to getting buckets,
it isn't even close

Lebron 55 Fg% vs 49 fg%

What exactly does this mean? Cause I am unaware of the part of a basketball game that is officially "take over a game" time?

Is it 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter?

4 minutes left in the 4th quarter?

Is it the 4th quarter at all?

As someone who watches virtually all spurs games I would go so far as to say that I can't imagine any player in the nba "taking over" more games than Kawhi Leonard did this year. Because the vast majority of spurs games this year have had some point in the 2nd or 3rd quarter where they are up by 6...and then on offense kawhi goes jumper, jumper, and 1, jumper...and on the defensive end he guards the other team best guy and he goes contested miss, contested miss, steal, contested miss, block, forced turnover...and then the spurs are up 14 and he goes to the bench and for the rest of the night the other team never cuts it any closer to 7...there was no crunch time work for kawhi to do because he put the team away before crunch time occurred...
