He a harlem nikka. He lazy. Thats the problem with ALL Harlem nikkas.(MASE, JUELZ, VADO, etc.)

When he was with The Roc he had structure. Had the best producers, engineers, directors, graphic artists etc.

Once Cam went dolo he didnt have it in him to go out and buy the best engineers, get the best beats, get the best concepts n videos out on his dime. Cam aint in it for the love like that.

thats why Cam shyt nowadays be sounding like he recorded it in his closet. Damm near every Harlem rapper I kno. Young or Old be on that same cutting cost n corner shyt :snoop:

I remember downloading dudes mixtape and thinking

":what: is this"

Sometime around Killa Season, he went independent and didn't have the same quality beats or budget. Everyone in the know understands that if Cam had the machine that could afford him Kanye beats and promote him like Jay he'd be in the conversation for KONY.

Even independent, I remember when this dropped it was the most watched video in WSHH History:

Truth was, he took so much time off after his mother got sick.......In between that Tru Life punched him, the dipset brand fell apart....Jim Jones went one way, Juelz left.......Pretty much while he was away his whole movement died.

I don't think 50 or Jay really hurt him, it's just he fell back and dipset fell off.....He also didn't have the rocafella/def jam machine behind him.

Honestly, the majority of the world has no clue about the Tru Life situation

It was because he was out of the public eye for a good 2 years, and the style of music changed and he didn't really adapt to what was relevant.

But the biggest rappers in the world still ask Cam for features, because he's a legend. Whether you people want to admit it or not. He debuted 15 years ago, and is asked to be on tracks with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Nicki, Wiz, etc...

Nobody gave a real fukk about that tru life and other shyt... The beats got meh, the multiple tapes with Vado when no one wants to hear that nygga, and the dip set fall out set him back... Find the heat makers

exactly it's entertainment at the end of the day so what did he really expose ? but lyrically he has fallen off his rhyme schemes are no way near as intricate as they used to be.

having the crown being ready to be placed on his head and then just decided to step back to try and let his people shine wasn't the best idea after the roll out of the jay diss, good album and that hot97 session.

getting involved in the Tru Life beef with Jim was straight up pointless.
shyt, the problems with Jim and Cam probably started because (according to JoJo) he and Cam were going to do business and Jim wasn't fukking with Jojo.

Jim and him were already not fukkin with each other like that, but Cam sent J.R Writer at Tru Life then started calling Tru Life "little Jim" and Jay a camel on a camel at the end of the track.. end up to getting his eye jammied while starting an amusing beef with 50 (which he had the upperhand in because he was just clowning him) defending his peoples who again wasn't speaking to like that.

first time people saw a real chink in his armour after brushing off everything before
mix all that in with the pool shyt at his moms house/and her being sick and he got brought down to earth with a bang..dropped a good mixtape in PE1 then falling off the face of the earth.

came back nice with Get It In Ohio but with no label paying for samples found araabmuzik (whos did well for himself) and that bum skitz to handle the production and it was poor with a few decent cuts...i liked two of the tapes with Vado though.

now he can't be bothered...and he's not an "artist" like Ghost that now, because he can't afford sample clearances money he got a band to do it all..Cam just a rap over a beat guy.

Cam could've seriously been KONY had he dropped a classic or two after Purple Haze. He just gave up.

He became less serious about his lyrics. I don't blame his hiatus and I don't really feel he's fallen off. He just needs to stop making albums with Vado, and he'll be alright.
