There a plenty of retailers that provide good pay and great benefits. These places are only has 10-15% pricier than Walmart:

Trader Joes - hard to get into cuz low turnover due to good pay

Costco - friends worked here while in college, some as cashier, the fast food window, meats... All made minimum of $18 back in 2010. Benefits for Pt employees.

Safeway - friends been working in produce for 8 years. Makes $30/hr. More $$ on Sunday's or after 11pm.

Plenty of options. People just need some guidance to the better opportunities.

I agree with you on don't get me wrong. However, we gotta call out Corporations like Wal-Mart out, They are literally cheating the system and treating their workers like peasants. I wish we had a major boycott going on. Wal-Mart should suffer for cheating and screwing workers.

Boycotts aren't realistic, esp if you want to do real damage. What's 1-3 days (can you trust ppl to boycott forever? No) of boycotting really going to do? They will increase their prices afterwards to recoup losses.

IMO, the best way to change walmarts practices is to show them people don't want to work for their shytty company bc there are better companies out there. Walmart will eventually have to be more competitive W/ pay. This is why I find it important to show or tell people about the other opportunities out there and that Walmart doesn't need to be an option for them.

They don't mind killing a million people, but they don't know how to demand better education, better living conditions, and just an overall life improvement.
