:what:

Wale's started making waves because of his Mixtape About Nothing, which is conceptually centered around Seinfeld's show.

In that regard I guess what I'm saying is prior to him dropping Mixtape About Nothing, there was no mention of Seinfeld in any of his songs or interviews. Then all of a sudden he's like "yo, I'm the biggest Seinfeld head and I'm gonna do a mixtape about it." I dunno, just seemed forced and random to me:yeshrug: Just my opinion though.

Exactly, Wale needs to just do him... instead of always trying to reach for a hit to the point that he's featuring G-Eazy on a single.

He hasn't really mastered anything, he's good at many things, not a master at any though.

Mastered??? Good at???

Who gives a fukk he himself crafted all those albums, mixtapes & singles that you nikkas love & appreciate if you really truly are fans of his music :ld:

But yet you idiots still are sceptical & critical of his career :what:

You still bytching about a single with g eazy i just told your dumb ass that dude got recent songs with raekwon & philthy rich :mindblown:

Are you holding those dudes to the same criticism:gucci:

I get what OP is saying, but I think Wales biggest issue isn't his sound, it's his inability to let things go, he whines too much about irrelevant things, that's why people troll him so much online cause they know he's gonna react.

Musically brehh is AMAZING, lyrically and poetically he's In a class of his own, like cole said he needs to be grateful he's this far in his career and just drop classic
Facts, you hit the nail on the head. He too disgruntled and emotional and let shyt get to him.

Even them nba Anchors was trolling him and said he is no Drake, now some shyt like I could see why he got mad. :russ:On that one I could see why he flipped his lid on them.

You realize your post doesn't really disagree with the premise of my thread right?
'Jack of All Trades... Master of None'

I just think Wale is better than trying to appeal to G-Eazy's fanbase for a new album when he's been in the game for as long as this.

Bruh in your response to me you said,
"It's not a beautiful thing when he hasn't really pushed the envelope in any particular category musically. "

I was responding to that and letting you know why it's a dope thing that he doesn't need too. Also imo I wouldn't say he is a master of none because he can do everything he does very well. I mean not too many in the game can write a groundhogs day track replying to J Cole like he did. So he is one of the masters for sure but you got to think about it. If he had one definitive style or sound that would put him in a box or pigeon hole him. I mean look at Kendrick, people except him to be a conscious rappity rapper and if he goes off that path the people would look at him funny like when he did "I" so he has to be smart about doing things. Same hting with Cole we lok at him as a rapper who raps about college and coming of age stories becoming a man. I think it's better sometimes to not have a definitive style but that's my opinion.

No one cares about DC in hip hop. If Wale was from New York or Atlanta he'd be huge.
Watch when Wale drop that go-go record on you nikkas though.

If he do it right y'all will care because that's one of the things Wale did that was super fresh and different. Some chick I used to kick it with put me on to a lot of his old Go-Go stuff from mixtapes with people like UCB and that shyt still sound fresh.

Wale is like a Carmelo anthony. He has a fanbase but he'll probably never win a championship. Even his love songs to me are just ok. they don't scream hit like Fabolous- So into you or 50 cent- Candy shop. The thing is you take a rapper like Big Sean who has gotten better every single year while Wale seems to be stuck in neutral

Notice how nobody agrees in the thread :pachaha:

Ive seen at least 5 different reasons to why wale supposedly isnt as successful or why he has so many critics :patrice:

You idiots dont know what you want from that man :mjlol:

And please with the go go argument the mixtape about nothing is a lowkey classic & should not be recreated

More about nothing, attention deficit & all his earlier work sounds no different than his work on mmg with the exception of a few trap songs here & there :gucci:

1 of you idiots give me a real reasonable reason to why ambition, the gifted, florian, taan & summer on sunset or not it or missed there marks :what:
