He needs to reinvent/rebrand himself now. That's why I said, a collab project with one of his peers who's got a higher profile will serve him right going into his next album.
Honestly he panders to black women entirely too much. Wale is an incredible lyricist and when he first signed to Ross he started to flourish. Say what you want about Rozay but he brought the best outta Wale. Pandemonium, By Any Means, 600 Benz all classic Wale verses.
Everything he dropped from Self Made Vol.1 to Ambition was fire. And then Loutus Flower Bomb blew up and guess he figured catering to female audiences, Black female audiences in particular was his ace in the hole. But to me it pigeonholed him. People pretty much look at him as the guy who makes songs that "Woke" black women listen to, Not Buy just listen to.
Most people don't realize how dope a MC Wale is. Or the fact that he's behind alot of the fashion trends that happen become prominent in the last 5 years like being a sneakerhead, wearing designer scarves like bandannas, bringing Moschino back, bringing Valentino back etc, etc. Wale needs to find the Noah "40" Shebib to his Drake and start reminding people how dope of a MC and overrall Artist he is.
