halway said Wale is better lyrically than cole, I took it further saying he better than Kendrick and drake to lyrcially if thats what your asking.

plus its not complicated to see, drake , cole, and Kendrick are all average to just above lyricist, Kendrick is probably the only one with some notable strenghts in that realm out of those three and its only in Multi and alliteration.

in similes, metaphors and wordplay Wale is better and overall better than those three.

Wales wordplay leaves alot to be desired,he tries to be Jay so hard with the wordplay but just falls flat...his wordplay definitly aint strong enough to put him above Kendrick.

Im assuming he will get it over Meek due to substance, ill admit its harder to do what Wale does then what Meek does...thats really the only way i could give it to him.

But as far as skill and natural ability, its Meek all day:myman:

All these nikkas is average as shyt from a "all time" perspective, except Kendrick and Meek.....and no im not a Kendrick stan, but hes the only one i could see surviving in other eras...wouldnt be one of "the guys",but among his lane he would be cream of the crop and a success...and Meek couldve done some damage on the right roster too.

The rest i really dont see making much of an impact in hiphop.

Ain't no such thing as "Ghostwriting aside" breh. The nikka ain't putting in the work that the others are then he don't belong in their league. He belongs in the Miley Cyrus/Katy Perry/Justin Bieber "entertainer" bracket but comparing him to REAL MC's is an insult to the craft

Those "real emcees" lining up to do songs with him,and come out on his tours:scust:

I dont give Drake credibility, his peers do.

They cant get mad when people of this era bring him up as one of the best.

Im not even a Drake fan,how im catching pebbles just for going along with the discussion,at least i put a asterisk in there:whoa:.

Its definitly still anti Drak wit me:myman:

aint strong enough?

nikka we got people in here, with Wale's lyrics going over their head. In terms of wordplay and metaphors Kendrick aint even at Wale's level the nikka rarely uses it infact.

:mjlol:you think kendrick and meek will survive in any era but Cole, Drake, and Wale wont.:comeon:

Bruh your coming off bias as hell as a Meek stan

I know kendrick fans who will say Wale outclass kendrick bar wise and your in here degrading the mans skills:beli:

i dont know about that, but lets say you right....when Jays lyrics went over nikkas heads, when they finally got it years later the reaction is :wow:.

When it goes over they head with Wale,do you think they will have that reaction,or will it be more like:ehh:....anybody who thinks Wale outclasses Kendrick must just be deeply obsessed with wordplay to the point that matters over everything else.....sounds like alot of yall giving out these trophys to nikkas simply because they have substance in a era full of shyt....i dont care how much substance you got if you lack in other important areas of emceeing....Wale shouldnt even be a "bars" guy which is how u know he's fukking up and a false prophet:mjcry:

At least Cole halfwaynhas it figured out hes not a bars guy....Kendrick and Meek are,and they are all around emcees which is why they could eat in other eras.

Meek is a poor man's Peedi Crakk fam. Hes Peedi without the flow, wordplay and originality. I fukk wit dude but he ain't that great of an emcee. He's good.

I didn't say those was hits. They just dope songs. I was asking u if u was feeling em. as far as hits come on fam. Work Out, Power Trip, Crooked Smile, Apparently, Can't Get Enough, etc. That's not even including hit singles he was featured on.

I thought Friday Nights was and still is his best project,i dont know what the consesus is among J cole fans....i didnt like Forest Hills drive like alotta people seemed too.

And you not ashamed posting that collection of "hits"?that range from embarrasing to forgettable:scust:

Might have the worst collection of hits of anybody with his ammount of success, even Nelly and Eminem had some undeniable records:francis:

Im sayin thats a damn lie:scust:

I agree with that, but i think Peedi had superstar potential at his best,Meek wouldve made for a nice protege in any era though:manny:

Im not mad at good, but good in this era takes u a long way as you can see by the charts and this thread...but hey im not mad, because being wack takes u a long way too,so at least some good nikkas prospering....but lets keep it a buck, they aint all that either by a long shot:comeon:

Jadakiss will probably never come to.

He's stuck in that mentality of having a formulaic album to appeal to all types of listeners instead of just making a straight up hardcore steet album.
Fabolous is in that category too. think it comes from being a product of the era they first dropped solos in

Drake don't belong in this convo. But they all have their strength's and weaknesses. I wouldnt say either one is flat out better than the other.
in all around rapping sure

but Wale is the better lyricist

Hell, today I was listening to album about nothing and listened to The Body

that track lyricially has some dope ass metaphors, wordplay and entendres are on point, and its something I dont see none of those 4 spitting bars like that

Dont get me wrong nothing in that song was mindblowing, but in comparison to bars I heard from those 4 they were really dope even if yu knew what they were going to be as he prettu much was making it obvious through the hook(references to miles, lanes, etc)

I don't know fam. Big Sean is underrated as fukk as a lyricist. Hes been bitten off of more times than I can count. Kendrick is Kendrick. U already know he's dope. Like. I can't see Wale make a song like Rigamortis. Cole has gotten the best of Wale on tracks they featured on before. Like I said. I think it's a wash between the 4 of em.
