Same with Gaga on “Chillin”

Interscope forced that. There's an original produced by Cool and Dre that I had on my old laptop where she's not on it.

As for the album. I don't know who this is for, but early on it's not for me. I'll need to revisit this another time, but like Shine, this doesn't have staying power.

I mess with it man. I know Wale is hated but dude is consist with songs man. Worst guys are considered better than him for some reason. I’m not a Wale guy but I don’t have any problems with him

Wale is a rappers rapper and he will always eat. He's not back or gone ever. He is always here.

Hate on breh. Very few rappers can eclipse "relevance" by being skilled and relatable. It takes some real talent. I don't care how obnoxious he is as a person. I'm here for the art.:unimpressed:
Exactly. All that matters is he’s here. You ain’t got to be the GOAT. If you’re here 10 yers later then you’re doing well out here.

Went through the 2nd Playthrough...

Sue Me
Cliche
Expectations
Love...(Her Fault)
On Chill
Love Me Nina / Semiautomatic
Break My Heart (My Fault)
50 In Da Safe
Set You Free

Good to Great records IMO

The main thing that throws this album off in general is the sequencing in general. And some songs just feel like filler and just forced

Love & Loyalty is a good song, but coming after Sue Me, it's like what's going on here? It's a lil jarring sonically, and I feel like Wale lessens the impact of his projects when they have random arrangements

BGM
Routine
Debbie
Black Bonnie
Poledancer

Mediocre or just out of place... or just old songs we've heard months ago

Solid overall release, but with some tweaks it could have been great. But is that surprising coming from Wale? He kinda always teases greatness and then throws listeners a curveball that just misses with most. It is what it is

Sue Me is one of my fav records of his in a while tho, so dope

Also... Expectations is a great song, 6lack did his thing, the woman's vocals are nice too, the production is dope........

SO why did Wale feel the need to sing on the record? Kinda brings the song down a lil bit. His verses and the message is great, Wale's crooning on it is the weakest part of the track.

Yeah, those old songs don't really add anything but streams. Could've left off black Bonnie and Pole Dancer and moved Set You Free as the album closer. 13 tracks would have been solid.

I found it boring. I like Wale but nothing grabbed at me off the first few listens. Like many have said, the great tracks get given away as loosies and his albums suffer.
Folarin rankings:

1) The Album About Nothing :wow: modern day blassic 9/10
2) Ambition - surprise step up from his debut 7.5/10
3) Gifted - solid but couple dead tings on the join 7/10
4) Attention Deficit - album was all over the place even tho it had 4 monster highs 6.5/10
.
..
.
.
.
5) SHINE - *sigh* , the boy didnt know what he was doing on this album, dropped Black is Gold then turned the whole album into something weird smh 4/10
I don't care if it was free, I'm throwing Summer on Sunset in the three spot.

yeah I tried to fukk with this earlier because I'm in the "wale is underrated" camp but he seems to be taking a career direction his last 2 albums that I just can't get behind. its like when Lupe got forced into that route with Atlantic....

4/10 quite disappointed.

Haven’t listened all the way through but the mental health wave is overdone right now. I think Dave did it best with psychodrama.
