Did it really? People with shytty jobs were still considered "essential" and had to work twice as hard:mjlol:

I mean im speaking from a privileged perspective but even “non-skilled” labor saw record wage increases and options unlike anything they saw before that coming out of Covid.

“Skilled” labor was in an even better position, people were job hopping left and right, sometimes doubling their salary.

I truly believe at least a part of this job market is “learning” a workforce that is perceived as too arrogant.

RTO, layoffs, wages stagnation, etc, etc

I work in “big tech” breh, bammas was job hoppin with little to no experience, triplin they salary while working from the Caribbean. shyt went a little too far.

I know I’m only speaking about a specific employee but tech is clearly leading the workforce strategy holistically.

The backlash from FAANG, MAG7 or whatever you want to call them is rippling through other sectors.

I guess thats one way to look at it. Think its really going to be one of those "depends on who you ask" things.

Wages increased in certain areas because low paid workers were getting laid off and quitting. So the people that stuck around made the "average wage" higher than it wouldve been had those lower paid workers stayed. It did create shortages and alot of job openings to allow people to move around. But then you had inflation come right behind all that. So it seems like the banks definitely found a way to get their money right back. Broke their foot off in our asses on food and on shelter:francis:
