Selfishness is a childish prospective rooted in a scarcity mindset. It isn't anymore primal than any other emotion. And primal instincts are usual not in a person's best interests in modern society which is why we learn self control, manners and cause and effect at a young age.

Most guys are extra nice to every attractive female they see from the time they develop an interest in the opposite sex. So no it's not gonna be something that stands out in our minds. There is a line between innocent interaction and an affair. People may not always recognize when they are moving towards said line but they know when they are coming close to it and certainly when they cross it.

I beg to differ, the only thing separating us from other mammals is our higher level of thinking and perception, we are animals, if we aren't then we wouldn't have similar biologies. And there are some people who just feed into their instincts and disregard morals, discipline, societal values, etc. But we can agree to disagree, it's too many depraved and horrible people out there for me to see otherwise , also I'm not saying everybody is like that, just some people (well relatively)

We're saying the same thing, you're just excusing the behavior and I'm not. You think it's excusable and acceptable to an extent and I don't. Everything is a choice. Nothing wild about choice.

Truly depraved shytty people are an extreme and a rarity just like truly righteous upstanding people. The majority of people just do what they can get away with, while bytching about others getting away with shyt at their expense. That's what this comes down to. If you espouse this "animal instinct" stuff then cool, I respect that, as long as you are espousing the same thing when it doesn't benefit you. That's the issue. Most people don't. They will spout all of this "nature", "animals", "chemistry" stuff when they or people they identify with do something and then be ready to crucify other people when they succumb to such insincts in a manner that doesn't benefit them.
