In terms of burning calories; your body takes about 25 mins to get to a mode of burning 'em
Your gotta run a longer distance to burn the same amount of calories, walking a shorter distance
Plus, running gets dem knees

Just wow, WOW You're ignorance is painfully offensive. I'm an idiot for wasting my time responding to this but listen. Our ability to sweat, our upright posture that enables us to minimize sun exposure and to have a higher lung capacity enables us to run marathons at a higher speed than most land animals.
