You're talking about how businesses THINK meanwhile I'm talking about what they're actually capable of doing. I know for a fact Kroger and Safeway etc, would've loved nothing more than to corner the market like Walmart did but they lacked the capital and backing to actually do so. Same is true of even smaller businesses so contrary to what you initially said, it would not have always been someone else. Few can afford to be aggressive and cutthroat while taking massive interim losses the way Walmart was.

Also lmao what in the fukk is this bullshyt!?

I'm not taking any frustrations out on you, I'm simply speaking facts and poking holes in your shytty argument so please don't try and act like I'm on some misplaced emotional tirade. When I want to vent to to real people who make me mad I do so.

Dude. Nobody has to be cutthroat aggressive to knock a mom and pop store off the map. Thats was your whole argument here, and disdain for corporate ran conglomerates because they hurt mom and pop stores. I threw out Kroger and Publix as a example of a store that could destroy mon and pop stores. They don't even have to be as big as Walmart or Amazon, or even take the risks they took. That wasn't my position here.

And you haven't poked holes in shyt. The people you are trying to defend were weak, which again are the mom and pop stores. They would've ultimately been knocked off, and the ones that are still standing till this day are there because the numbers didn't add up to even build in that area.

You getting deep for absolutely nothing.

Them leaving leaves a vacuum that can be filled by something else. If Walmart was the only source of groceries in an area, then it will hurt people for awhile. Still, the only thing that can be done is to entice another business or corporation to come in and fill the void.

Walmart lost me when they no longer had 24/7 hour stores :camby:there was nothing like going to Walmart at 2am when nobody was in there, when they started cutting store hours way before the pandemic, they lost most of business. I'm not trying to be in there during regular hours.

Same with Kroger. The stores were so ripe for theft at 4am on a Tuesday. :wow:
