Breh if you're both genuinely unhappy this isn't going to be as big of a bombshell as you think it is. You're both just sitting around waiting for the other to pull the trigger, so chances are if you sit her down and say " X...we're both unhappy and have been so for a while...I think this relationship has run it's course, and we should both go our separate ways".
She might feel relived. She might also be able to focus on the things happening in her life. So you break up with her...She gets this job. Her girl comes into town and they go out for a girls weekend, etc...She might view it as a blessing. Stop overthinking and do what you feel is best for you.
