as a matter of statistical probability, I don't think I agree with this (basically the idea of the whole thread goes against this)
there is no statistical probability that either side can use to be honest. you know why? because we have never see other life.

See math/science = the study of patterns.

ok so we have one star and a bunch of things floating around it. . lets look out further at other stars, okay a bunch of stars with nothing going around them...wait..wait... we found others, with a star and planets flying around it...but no earth like planet (with living beings on it). this is all we know thus far.

That doesnt mean we will find earth some day just because it happened once. Who's to say that everything happens at least twice? Someone show me that math/science theory, not saying it doesnt exist. i'm saying i have never heard of that. Who's to say that there is a pattern when it comes to earth? It may not be. or the pattern is 1.......... and thats it. that is the patter. everything does not have to repeat

and who said space is infinite? some scientists. and guess what... some other guys said its not

so you cant use probability x infinite to make your equation work since we dont even know for sure if infinite is true...yet.

because it gives you a false impression of what it looks like. You've seen pictures of nebula and galaxies with all colors and effects, but that's not how they look. the sun would look just as spectacular, but it doesn because that's not what it looks like. don get all worked up about a picture that doesn really exist is all im saying.
but you saying dont get all worked up is a bit odd. let people live. we know they always doctor up these images. they've done this for decades. What they are doing is actually giving us a deeper imagery of whats out there. deeper then our normal pictures we take or our normal vision can see. its like me telling you the C# note is represented by the color YELLOW. so when you see a soundwave at C#. you see a yellow wave. without that picture you had to IMAGINE IT. now you can SEE IT.

sure thing bro. but I believed that's how space really looked until I did some further research. turns out the fantastic imagery was a lie and these nebulae and galactic gas expulsions that cause those beautiful colorful pictures are invisible.

Turns out most science is like that, a slight of hand.

I don't understand what this means

sound is different because you can see sound through a physical medium. sound has a shape. filtered and photoshopped pictures are just lies.

I know what you mean, Its like when they would show us those "illustrations" of atoms or subatomic particles in our textbook. It wasn't until I finally decided to do my own research that I learned those images was false"

For example this popular model is false.

This is an example of what it really looks like (and this still doesn't show everything)

Even more interesting is the amount of space between the protons, neutrons and electrons. The model in textbooks make it look like they are touching.

exactly. electrons supposedly are unpredictable completely, so they cant pin one down to even say that it ever exists in a specific point, theres only the 'probability that it exists'. They call it the electron cloud. in fact there is a theory that electrons exist scattered through time, since no one can ever be in a single place. so that could mean that all the electrons in the cosmos could be the same one electron, just existing in multiple points in time.

I don put much emphasis into these theories anymore because I realize they are just mathematical brainstorms that have no basis in reality. great post bro.

yeah its supposed to be one particle or "thing" that makes up all of reality :manny:. Its all cool to me gives us stuff to ponder about:jawalrus:.

And it's still beautiful and humbling.
