Hell naw you don’t need no gaming laptop lol. Making beats not heavy on resources like that. If you were recording people then that’s where you need more space and power and shyt. But just for making beats, no. Sound files are small. You try running all them dumb ass plugins your shyt gonna be trash anyway. Get you a Maschine, a regular ass computer (preferably Mac) and a lil mini keyboard. That’s all the setup you need to start off with. Invest in some decent quality speakers. Get you some Yamaha HS speakers. I recommend HS8s. Perfect for home beat making. Great quality for the price. Get you a monitor so you can have a big screen to work off of. You can get that for cheap.

I never had anyone straight up laugh or make a scust face…the nicest compliment I got was “kinda sounds like something jay z would rap on if you add some more to it” lmao
