What Is Going On with 'Horizon - Chapter 2'?
The big question mark looming over the Horizon franchise is the state of Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2. The film has been developed, shot, edited, and even screened to some lucky viewers at select film festivals. However, the sequel still hasn't secured a distributor for theatrical release. Many fans would even settle for the sequel releasing directly on streaming. However, it appears as though Costner is adamant about a theatrical release.There is currently no news on whether Chapter 2 will be released in theaters. The state of the franchise is currently turbulent, especially with the ongoing lawsuits leveled against Costner and the film's production companies.
But, despite Chapter 2 being kept in limbo, Kevin Costner has already turned his attention to Chapter 3. Dunny Huston recently revealed that most of Horizon - Chapter 3 has already been shot. "I think he's got a lot of Chapter 3 in the can, actually," Huston said. Unfortunately, there's currently no word as to if or when we'll see Chapter 2 or Chapter 2 for ourselves.
