oh I saw that, and was thinking of TimeCop with Van Damme, LOL I remember watching Supercop on black box ppv

That Adina Howard record should have been major, it had the whole treatment. That was supposed to be the one for Warrnen Don't remember that at all, but it's going in the rotation. That's pure 90's fire.

thanks for the insight

She hadn't started on her album when that Warren G track dropped. Her 2nd album was slated to drop in the summer of '97 and had a fire DJ Quik-produced track as the first single

But unfortunately the album got shelved.

Always felt like the major label system didn't really know how to work Warren G's core sound beyond his debut.

His sound has an inherent pop catchiness to it (not a shade at all) but that sound fell out of mainstream sensibilities in the late 90s.

Even tho he didn't produce on the 213 album, that album felt the most like a Warren G project and it not being well received at the time wasn't a good sign for dude. I loved that album and his In the Midnite Hour joint

Warren G? Whats next? Whats next? Whats N X E T?

G Dub seems like a real cool cat as he was on the inside of it all as it went down. Strange how he never really got his props either way tho.

The Doc/Warren/ATL

Are severely under appreciated

The biggest elephant in the room is that Dre never really cared for Warren musically and never really looked out for him. They've only had like one song together in 30 years (Game Dont Wait Remix that Dre produced in 1999).

They were more stepbrothers in name than anything and you can tell they weren't really that close outside of their parents marrying.

Dre basically stood back while Suge nem constantly tried to punk Warren at every chance since day one at Death Row. You NEVER heard about Dre sticking up for him.

If you listen to Warren's interviews he basically say all this about Dre without saying as respectful as he can.

Always felt like Snoop could've done more as well, he was the golden goose of the label and basically untouchable, but he couldn't get Warren signed to the label or at least had Suge and his boys not give him such a hard time? Makes no sense.

Yeah, all of that was super weird considering Warren was there from before the giddy up and pretty much bought Dre the new and fresh team he needed to win after Ruthless and got Snoop and them put on in the process. And he still didn't get a tour jacket.

:mjcry:

I'd really like to read a book from him if he kept it a 100 but he's too much of a politician in that respect as you can tell he chooses his words carefully in order to offend or come across as hurt. Warren is like a living example of "nice guys finish last" and why it takes a bit of ruthlessness to win when you're swimming with the sharks. Word to E.

Considering Warren grew up with Eazy imagine how different this all would've turned out if he'd bought 213 to him instead of Dre? Wild when you consider the little details and how G Dub handled himself and repped new links vs old friends out of loyalty:

Nate always held Warren down though and that syncs with his rep as being the realest in DPG. After all he saved him from a robbery, clapped the jackers AND got him some skins at the Eaasssstttissssiddddeeeeeeee Moooooteeeeelllllllllllll! All in a days work for Mr Hale....

213 album is a prime example of that. Could have been a classic album with production from Warren, Soopafly, Daz, Fred Wreck, Quik
