Yeah, a relationship with people who he grew up around.

I mean at some point you gotta get over it. If these nikkas won’t return your calls then that means all that “history” isn’t important to them. Does it suck? Maybe, but at some point you gotta have some pride because going on podcasts pleading your case ain’t gonna get you any closer to them.

According to reports Dre don’t even fukk with his own kids. The Hell does Warren G expect?

Y’all boys heartless. Of course he wants something from people he known for over 30 years

Specifically in Dre case he known him as a brother before he was even a teenager. Don’t seem like he saying something specific happened to where the relationship was broken. The man just miss his family

I’m not the heartless one. That seems to be the one who cut off his own kids.

And if that same person won’t even take your calls then what exactly is the point of begging on a podcast? Seems like somebody who wants SOMETHING other than a flimsy relationship with a historically wishy washy individual.

Ok I gotta respect Snoops mind in this situation because he broke it down to us piece by piece.

Yes u brought me a beat that has hella potential. But if u were to use that beat just the way it is how far would it go? So here's what we're going to do. I'll take the beat, sonically pour life and flavor into it. Give it a cold breakdown. Decide verse/hook placement. Then to ice the cake I'll master this muthufuka to have it sounding and feeling like a brand new handmade Rolls-Royce.

U don't believe someone Dre's musical ears and feel play a significant role in the end product ask Future. Futures engineer passed away in 2017 and right after his music soncially dropped a level or even two. Verses sounding phoned, great songs with bad mixes, and the beats lost that slap they once had. That's why a guy like Dre is needed when u wanna take potential and get everything out of it.

fukk all that. If they brought in beats they deserve to be credited. The idea was theirs and the songs wouldn't exist if they didn't bring those beats to him. There is no Little Ghetto Boy if Warren doesn't bring that sample in. They don't have to get full production credit but not listing them as co-producers is theft.

If you were given a bassline and put drums plus a melody around it you still need to credit the person on bass if it's in the final song.

This would be like someone using a verse another artist wrote, not crediting them, and saying they didn't deserve credit because the other two verses and the hook is why the song blew up.

Anyone who had a hand in creating the song deserves their cut of the money.

It's crazy how people like to give ALL the credit to the producer and erase what the beatmaker did.

Artistically, most of the time, the beatmaker did most of the work

I get it. Beat making and producing are two different things. However, i think that the whole producer issue is actually more of a legality, music business thing. The producer gets paid more business speaking than the actual performer or artist. So of course, there's going to be politics. You have folks like diddy that cant make music for shyt but he's credited as a producer. He has been involved in production despite not being an damn artist. So snoop may be talking about from that prospective. Dre basically pointing out what sounds need to be louder in the music, if a guitar needs to be added, telling the artist how to rap so the record comes out a certain way. The producer serves as the coach though they can't teach the artist how to use their talent if they have it.

After a while your peace ☮️ becomes more important

If nikkas ain;'t answering the phone then they most likely ai't responding to emails, dms, texts or other means of communication.

I would have a big problem with Warren saying this if he didn't try to call them but if he did and they ain't responding then I get going public.

Warren G supposed to hand a note to a mutual friend asking Dre to circle yes or no if he likes him

It was deliberate

But let Warren G have drop dead before this interview nikkax would have been at his funeral frontinggggggg

I agree with everything you're saying. Yes they should be listed as co-producers and compensated as such. But Dre is the quarterback here, the chain to the bike. If he doesn't have his hand in this with hook placement, verse placement, artist placement, bridge, and final touch mixing it's just another dope beat that never reaches its pinnacle. That's all I'm saying.

The idea of the "producer" getting more credit and money was pushed in the 50's to scam black artists.

the idea that the producer should get more praise and money than the beatmaker is not based on reality, especially in Hip-Hop.

When Snoop wasn't on Regulate ..G Funk Era, I was shocked.

Warren G even saved a spot for him on Recognize.

N to the A to the T to the E....the S to the N to the double O-P.....

But Warren had to settle for a dude tryna sound like Snoop:mjcry:
Never knew that.

Warren probably looked at his phone after the call with Snoop and said.

What's Next
What's Next
What's N-X-E-T?!

:mjcry: :mjlol:

Westside Gunn said he had to change his number because of the sheer amount of people calling back to back

After just the mixtapes started selling

Can you imagine just the level of Dre snoop etc…

Just think about how many people was trying to get at them just to talk to them just before they went on stage

It had to just go to voice mail because of the amount of people calling

And snoop gave him tickets 🎫

Imagine how many wanted free tickets to that Super Bowl from cali

I’m not trying to be funny

But these men are old now

Warren wears reading glasses

Snoop look like the crip keeper

Dre is being held together by string

These men are gonna have Kane’s soon

Dre turning or will be 60

Like how much you “just wanna hang out” you want ?
