Who gives a fukk? Give me one reason why the owner deserves to have that money over the player.. and don't say because "titles" that's a ridiculous reason, he's already won

But its Klays decision... if he feels that he is making enough to play where he wants to play, then the decision is for himself and not the owner. The team has to have some sort of a budget to fill out the roster. They will be in the luxury tax regardless.

He's allowing himself to get caught up in the "we're all a family" bullshyt that these front offices kick to people. They are making billions off this Warriors team but can't pay a higher luxury tax? :mjlol:

They have already shown a willingness to pay the tax.... they maxed out Curry since they knew it wasnt going to affect any transactions after KD made room for Iguodala and Livingston.

I dont get why you're upset that a person might make a decision to take less... it's not your call

If they have no issue maxing out players and paying the tax then why are these "team friendly" contracts a discussion?

There isn't a direct comparison right now cause there isn't a white cat in the league with Klay's talent...... but I remember the Croshere and Keith Van Horn finesses.... hell, Utah was trying to match offer sheets for Hayward when he was just averaging 13 points a game about 4 years back......
Breh you gotta make sense when you post not this emotional no proof shyt. Teams mostly match the first contract of cats anyway. Hell Otto Porter got 100million and wasn't putting up numbers like that so until you get some actual facts fam stop it. Not no shyt from 10 years ago.

You really think klay is demanding the max and the team is asking him to take less? Again, its Klays decision.

There are situations based on the timing of the contracts that can prevent you from filling out your roster. In Stephs case, how much he made did not determine who stays and who goes... the owners just have to pay the tax..

There isn't anything emotional about what I posted... and Otto jr getting the max in 2017 vs Utah offering offer sheet matches to Hayward while under contract averaging 13 on 41 percent shooting isn't comparable... hell, Otto Jr is more talented than Hayward(and making less btw)......... the only reason why his stat line isnt more than what it is because he is sacrificing points for the continuity of the team.....

He's only playing ball for another 7 to 8 years...... that is not the rest of his life by any stretch...... and who says you can't have a high "quality of life" outside of Cali...... I'm a firm believer in that you do the establishment no favors when it comes to getting your market value..... cause please believe they will not do any financial favors for you unless they are forced to....
He can play 10 to 12 easily that jumper will be automatic at 38

On the face of it this doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it is. Not just because one star athlete taking less gives the players less leverage in the next CBA negotiation, but mainly because this forces other star players to have to consider taking pay cuts if they really want to build a team to compete with this Warriors team.

Sure these dudes are having fun and saying fukk it we make plenty of money, and that’s true, but they’re also handing power back to the owners and the league, and simultaneously giving them back a larger piece of the pie that players before them fought so hard to secure.

It’s some straight up selfish clown shyt. They’re setting the players back a decade or more with this. They’re benefitting personally from these last two cap hikes but by not pressing the issue they’re fukking over the next generation of players. It’s typical Warriors soft spoiled shyt.
