You have got to be kidding me.
The shift in shooting comes from the fact you can load the strongside, front a post player and bring weakside help basically playing a 2 man zone while STILL being able to defend the remaining players on the floor.
The zone is the reason shooting has exploded, you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. The Houston Rockets led the NBA in 3 pointers made and attempted with one of the best post players ever, that basically blows holes in your idea that lack of post play is why 3 point shooting has increased
Players are better at shooting the 3 today, we could go with numbers on that one too
Technical jargon aside, Dwight Howard is one of those post players that I have made mention of in this era - big on athleticism, low on post skills. However, I will credit him for being an elite rebounder in the annals of NBA history. Still a step up from your Olajuwon-Cousins comparisons
The Rockets were shooting an abundance of threes with or without Howard (who was injured for half of the season). Do you see where your circular logic falls flat on its face?

Dwight Howard fukking sucks in the post, you must not know who you're talking to, I been hating on his low post game since Sohh. The 3 point shooting is to make playing in the post easier for Dwight, a great big is going to make the 3 point shooting easier for his teammates because of his post game. Dwight is awful in the post and has been for years, which is why his teams play like shyt when it comes time, because you can guard him man to man, which means his shooters are covered.

Like I said, there's going to come a time when we see another great post player, and he's going to be surrounded by 3 to 4 shooters and the 3's will FLY.
Hell, just look at how the Sixers are preparing for Embiid, they want shooting at the 1, 2, 3 and would even consider drafting a PF to shoot 3s (They have been linked to Kristaps Porzingis) despite the fact they have Nerlens and Dario who are both PFs.
THEY HAVE DAVID LEE, BUT DUMBASS KERR THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE AN ALL-STAR OUT THE ROTATION BECAUSE HE WAS COMIN BACK FROM INJURY AND DRAYMOND GREEN PLAYED GOOD.
David Lee isn't a low post player, he's a PnR guy that can get boards & put backs, but he's not someone you throw the ball to on the block and say "Get us buckets big fella".
If he plays a lot he's going to be matched up with Mozgov or LeBron.

They ain't got no choice, but to take the handcuffs off and try to outscore they ass. Bron's iso offense shouldn't be enough to outscore the Warriors when they're clicking.

Folks are talking about bringing in Lee means Mozgov/thompson have a rebounding advantage, doesn't really matter at this point? What great defense and rebounding are they getting from Draymond and Bogut who are getting bullied anyway, and don't match up with Lebron (who defensively is most important) ? Lee is a better pick and roll guy (which helps curry tremendously) and gives them better spacing to find better shots in the paint or kick out to an open shooter, which is Golden State's MO.
Neither Curry or Clay are major threats at driving to the basket for easy shots/FTs, so as long as Dray Day is making brick houses from 3s (in the PnR), and Bogut doing nothing then Lee (as long as he doesn't get into major foul trouble, that's the big if for him) gives them better spacing and opportunity to pick the pace up.
