That’s where player development should come in. Kerr is a ceiling raiser as far as coaches go, not a floor raiser.
Nah, Kumingas is who he is. This is who he was gonna be no matter the coach

If Kuminga can’t understand that when the warriors pass the ball to the post, the split action they’ve been running for a decade is coming, that’s on Kuminga.

The only coaches people would be satisfied coaching Kuminga are the ones who don’t run plays (aka the tanking coaches). So guys like Jim Boylen, Lloyd pierce, etc.

He’s gotten a million chances and all he has to do is stop being a ball stopper, don’t look off a wide open Steph curry, stop dribbling a million times then shooting the mid-range shot you haven’t been able to hit efficiently in 4 years. Stuff like that

Kuminga’s inability to really improve is because he thinks he’s a future all star. He’s not. His ceiling is decent role player.

Last season, before jimmy came, his USG rate was the same as jokic’s first MVP season. Blaming Kerr is a lazy unintelligent talking point. He gets his chances, he’s just not that guy

Jdub
Amen thompson
Jalen Johnson
Trey Murphy
Franz wagner

Those are the premier wings of the future. Kuminga isn’t there because he’s extremely limited as a player

nikkas talking about "wHy DiDnT KeRR tuRn KuMINga inTo KaWhI LeOnArD?!" :sadcam:

cuz he was never gonna be that. His all-star projection was based solely on the fact that he can jump high. That's it, nothing else. It wasn't about his offensive ability, passing ability, shooting prowess, defense, IQ, or fundamental understanding of the game. He was shooting 38/23/62 in the G-League ignite, with all the touches in the world. Now Kerr is supposed to develop him to pass, shoot, defend, etc. in the toughest league in the world? How much basketballl have you watched where u think that every player reaches all-star/superstar status coming into the league with zero skill? Y'all nikkas watch too much anime :martin:

I cringe when I see Kuminga take a 3 pt shot:hhh:

That ain't Kerr's fault at all. That's the shît you work on yourself during the off season(i.e. "I shot a thousand threes a day this past summer")

I'd like to go back and look at who Kuminga was picked ahead of in his draft.

Only redeeming quality I saw was his athleticism and potential on defense, which were 2 coveted attributes, especially for GS

Edit: I just looked at the 2021 draft:huhldup:

I know hindsight, blah, blah, blah, but fuçk all that:pachaha:

Franz
Jalen Johnson
Send Goons
Trey Murphy
Cam Thomas(seeing him take shots away from Steph probably would've gotten him traded:mjlol:)

Kuminga hasn't lived up, but Golden State isn't helping by doing what they can to try to get a mulligan on the pick.

This is a cut your losses situation. Unfortunately, bad teams are seeing this too and have either moved on to cheaper options or don't wanna buy high on him.

The only one in real time that you coulda questioned was Franz. Jalen was arguably the most talented, but he was also a moody, quittin ass bytch

Kerr wanted them to draft Franz Wagner but the owner Joe Lacob pushed for Kuminga. That makes sense since he was already a more developed prospect which aligns with Kerr. Kuminga needed a coach like Mark Jackson, Spolestra or Udoka who know how to develop young players.
