With Kuminga, I don't even think it's about the money...he just doesn't want to play for the Warriors anymore, considering Kerr got him wasting away on the bench. I'd get out of there too. Sure, you're making money, but you wanna play at the same time, especially if you feel like you're good enough to be a key rotation piece on a team.
I don't know what it is, but Kerr must not like him personally; it can't be just because he doesn't fit the rotation and/or game plan schemes, this is more personal, maybe Kuminga voiced some words/disagreements to him during practice, or something off the court, might've gave him a “look” and since then Kerr has just been on some “fuk you” shyt

If he didn’t wanna be there one would expect the counter offer to be unrealistic

Kuminga a top ten pick. Warriors been always trying to deflate his value and reduce him to a role player so they can get him for cheap. You don't want to pay the man but think his value is high on the trade market?
But also these guys who haven't been paid have come in at a bad time with the salary cap. I wonder how it'll all play out

They eventually were forced to play him during post season and he produced. They been planning on low balling him. If he stays he'll be a perpetual role player.

He doesn't have it. Im not sure why they decline to move him
