I thought Mark was unfairly terminated and I rode for him last year (besides his comments on Jason Collins), but Kerr is proving me wrong. Still, it's WCF or bust for him. Health was a big issue during Mark's tenure, and it looks like it may be an issue for Kerr (David Lee is pretty fukked up).

You do wonder if Lacob makes these comments if GS was 10-8.

I think the comments were made because they needed to be made. People that don't like or follow the warriors continue to bring up Jackson's firing as some horrible injustice when they're doing a lot better without him and he honestly never should have been hired in the first place. I remember playing 2k11 and Mark Jackson was in the transactions because some team hired him. I was like wtf? Why is he even a candidate. Then he got a job in real life :why:

The Jackson supporters are now crediting the Warriors increased success to the natural progression of players like Curry, Thompson, etc, but they weren't doing the same thing when Jackson was coaching and the team was improving for that very reason.

He should just be looking for a chaplain job somewhere. That's all he knows how to do.

Probably because people would be asking even more why he fired Jackson and he'd look bad because people would be saying the team would be better if Jax was still the coach.

Be a homophobe and coach a team with a gay president, brehs.

Anyway, its early but Kerr seems to have replaced cliched speeches and religious nonsense with superior offensive schemes. I dont see how you can be mad at that as a basketball fan.
Season don't start till the all star break...

Jackson deserved to see that squad thru

Mark Jackson not so righteous when everything I see him announcing a CAVS game, he taking shots at David Blatt because he wants his job. Lost all respect for him after that.
Jackson's agent is Bron's boy.

If Blatt fails who you think Bron is gonna push for :mjpls:

I think that more to do with his defensive liabilities as a player... never heard anyone dislike Mark until golden state

Mark Jackson is known in NBA circles for backstabbing John Stockton in Utah and becoming a clubhouse lawyer in Indiana.

Quotes from a few articles

[Stockton] may be getting a push out the door by his new backup this season and the No. 2 man on the career assist list, 38-year-old Mark Jackson. Three members of the Jazz organization now understand why Jackson has been traded seven times in his 16-year career: They say that over a period of weeks, he succeeded in turning several teammates against Stockton by repeatedly remarking that those players would be better off if Jackson were the Jazz’s floor leader. Other players* rallied around Stockton, who, because of his quiet nature, was vulnerable to the locker room politicking. The rift on the Jazz was mended, though not before Stockton’s pride had been wounded. “There was no question it hurt John, because you could see him withdraw,” says a high-ranking team official. “But he’ll never talk about it, just as he won’t talk about injuries, because then he feels like he’s making excuses for himself.”

“During his second season, Amaechi became a member of rebellious clique that also included Mark Jackson and DeShawn Stevenson.* They all were unhappy with the roles, and their discontent fractured a locker room that John Stockton and Karl Malone had run relatively smoothly for 15 years. Although Stockton never said anything to me, others insist that the off-the-court turmoil contributed to his decision to retire after the Jazz were eliminated from the 2003 playoffs.”
Jackson says his actions were in no way aimed at Stockton. “I’m a born leader, and if people take that as manipulation, then maybe they haven’t been around leaders,” he says. “I make no apologies for embracing people and talking to people and making them feel like they’re important. Maybe in the past those stray dogs have been left on the side, but that’s not the way I treat people.”

From Stockton's autobiography

Some of the older veterans who hadn’t been around our squad” … “…seemed to take offense to any player’s connection with the ‘brass,’ regardless of their history.” … “The grumbling created an undercurrent I hadn’t experienced at any other time of my career.”

Steph and Klay became better players under Jackson's watch. You can't deny that.

i'm talking about the institutional infighting he was involved in. like fukking with people's parking spots, basically trying to get people to "take a side," and other petty and toxic stuff like that

and then there's this http://jazzbasketball.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/jazz-mythbusters-mark-jackson-vs-john-stocktons/
and this (about halfway down) http://grantland.com/the-triangle/t...donald-sterling-and-unrest-in-these-playoffs/
That first link is so biased and full of bullshyt. I stopped reading when it got mad at Mark Jackson for initally being one of first to call Duncan the best pf of all time. Here's the quote

During Mark Jackson’s tenure as an ABC/ESPN analyst, he became the initial voice to champion the notion that Tim Duncan was the best power forward to ever play (misguided by the fact that Duncan is a center, Malone statistically was a better player, and that even today an overwhelming majority still hold Malone in higher regard)
