The fact of the matter is that to the smart fan, there have been a pretty equal amount of surprises in both sports. I wasn't surprised when NYG shut down Brady's overrated ass in 2008. Or when they sonned the Pack in GB in 2012.

A smart fan looks more closely and analytically at the matchups. The retard (the cacs who post up money at Cesar's Palace, thus setting the odds) just look at record and say "OMG, Team A won 16 games!!!!! THEY CAN'T LOSE!!!111". Which is fukking pathetic. There's WAY MORE to a team's strength than fukking record. Tbf, a team's record usually tells you jack and shyt. You gotta look at the D, then the O, then playoff experience, then coaching tendencies, then player psychology as it pertains to many factors including home field advantage. A smart fan will know when home court/field is actually a disadvantage. It happens.

If you're so much smarter than the average guy betting sports, and you can see all of these unlikely upsets coming a mile away... you should be making a killing betting the games yourself. Because you're thinking so far above the oddsmakers that you should be fleecing them daily.

The main point other guy is making is true.

The more possessions, the more games, less likely for upsets to happen. That's true whether you use vegas odds to define an upset, or some other method.

I will say this man you know something is funny when these point spreads are big. I won money on the 2008 Superbowl, the 2006 Rose Bowl and the 2012 NBA Finals.

Those huge points spreads just have my alarm go off. Got a dude I know who goes to Vegas a lot to gamble and dude is the same way. When those huge fishy point spreads come out. Or folks swear another team has no chance he is like yeah they about go win some money off the simp ass public.

Dude told me to go all in on the Seattle vs Broncos, but I messed around and didn't have time to go to Vegas and bet. But my dude won like 10k off that game.

We both came to the same conclusion on this past Superbowl and my dude won a few Gs off of it. I made a gentleman's bet with my barber and won (just told him to keep the money and give me free haircuts for the year).

The bottom line is that the predictions these ESPN pundits and betting cacs make are laughable. No title is a lock for anybody. Even the 96 Bulls had the Sonics scaring em when they won 2 games, although I'm positive it was rigged.

The main stat right now for the GSW is this: 0 wins. They currently have as many playoff wins as the rest of the league. IOW, they still ain't done shyt.

If you wanna crown em, crown em. But the Spurs, or even another team, just might know that they are who they thought they are.
