Neck ties and boxing gloves.
How come y’all not taking into account all the other artists 50 cent put on and help went gold & platinum?

gunit album platinum
Buck album platinum
Banks album platinum
Documentary platinum
Massacre platinum
GRODT soundtrack platinum
Had small success with the gunit clothing line

Y’all bugging. What was Em behind that went platinum that wasn’t one of his albums? Obie Trice flopped. D12 flopped. 50 was a fukking machine back in the day.

Obi went platinum and so did D12.

all of this was because they ran with 50 cent.

Even Tony Yayo went double platinum worldwide.

Wayne was never as Big as 50 was Jay Z was never as hot as 50 was either

Drake is bigger than Lil Wayne ever was
Yeah I don't think you understand how big Wayne was at his peak. I mean the nikka birthed two superstars off his buzz. I don't think you can name another rapper to do that.

I would say no.

The thing with 50 is the way he just blew up.

Eminem was always bigger then him even in 50 prime.

Eminem's "Recovery" album which was pretty much trash right, sold more than Drake's highest selling album. That puts it into perspective. For 50 to be even close in popularity speaks to how huge 50 was..

Drake has never been bigger than 50 at his peak.

Obie Trice went Gold at least it sold over 220,000 first week. D12's albums both went 2x platinum.

This is where it gets tricky because of demographics. Eminem sold more music to white people. White people are the majority demographic in the US, UK, and other countries. 50 Cent sold a lot to black and white people, but he'll never have or be able to draw the same amount of white fans that Eminem can. To us it feels like 50 was bigger because as a culture, black people rocked to 50's music more. But in general no, Em was bigger. Also remember that 50's music was heavily bootlegged. I think GRODT leaked 1 or 2 weeks before the release date which made the label bump the release up a few days. Still managed to sell and do crazy numbers. The massacre leaked early too and still did 1.1 million in like 4-5 days or some shyt.

In 2002 Eminem had the number 1 song, music video, album, soundtrack, and movie. Won a crazy number of awards and was the first rapper to win an Oscar. He also had the number one free agent in rap at the time who was 50 Cent. The question should actually be if Eminem was at his peak in 2000 or 2002? Cuz MMLP is what sent him over the top to begin with.

Aahhh someone who gets it

So based off your own words can we congratulate off of his permeating his people to such a degree without being relevant whatsoever in the black community?

At 50’s peak he had everyone

At Em’s peak he had a whole lot of people...except Black People

I turn on In Da Club it’s party time
I turn on The Real Slim Shady it’s confusion
