Only for the relatively brief period of time that In Da Club was killing it. Other than that, Eminem sustained himself as much bigger for a longer period of time.

I think I agree with this, maybe more so on the Eastcoast... but the build up to 50 cent with the mixtapes was crazy
I think Eminem's power was real and consistent... but 50 cents build up was probably bigger in the beginning ... just the hype though not the real level of being bigger

Then eminem elevated both of them when he jumped on the mixtapes and dissed benzino and ja rule

50's moves made him huge and his timing

and eminems timing kept them both moving big ... it was really great scheduling too.

50 also had more fukkery and extroversion ... he was rubbing elbows with big artists and models and living reckless so it made him appear and move bigger.

This is too hard to call because eminem could sell without promo

so it depends on what people consider bigger

50 had bigger buzz for a window ... eminem always just had controversy and moves

eminem is obviously bigger artist wise

50 was controlling the media buzz wise

Again social media age making music more international, pop sounding music , relationship with an A list pop star like RiRi and dikkriding UK/Caribbean culture helps Drake tremendously

I agree

Has he reached peak 2008-2011 Wayne levels? debatable he never hit that 1 million 1st week mark naturally, only after he hooked up with Apple. So it's hard to say.

I also forgot about the Apple deal shoving brehs music :russ:, Wayne never had the antics and pop sounding music like Drake. Wayne was getting hip hop headlines because of instances of 40 Glocc pressing him, 50 dissing him and shyt like that. Drake was getting pop headlines because of Madonna kissing him :russ:

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
No.

And he would tell you that.

Em was directly a huge aspect of his success, has had far more longevity, and Murda INC would have continued to black ball 50 if someone of Em's stature didn't step in.

Jay wouldn't have because of previous shots thrown by 50 and because he owed Irv.

But when Hov heard Em signed 50 and Em played Hov some of the shyt they were working, Hov told Bleak and Beans you better get to work because 50 is going to be a game changer.

How come y’all not taking into account all the other artists 50 cent put on and help went gold & platinum?

gunit album platinum
Buck album platinum
Banks album platinum
Documentary platinum
Massacre platinum
GRODT soundtrack platinum
Had small success with the gunit clothing line

all of this was because they ran with 50 cent.

Y’all bugging. What was Em behind that went platinum that wasn’t one of his albums? Obie Trice flopped. D12 flopped. 50 was a fukking machine back in the day and everything he touched was gold. Miss me with this Em was bigger shyt. I never seen anything like 50’s popularity back in the day.
