His musical swag was slept on though...listen to Power of a Dollar and tell me that album is not ahead of its time. He was doing all of the things that NY rappers do now aka riding the south wave and making the music stand out in other ways than just being another Ny rapper with a razor under his tongue.
Yeah Power Of The Dollar is some of fifs best work , his hook game on there was impeccable as well

50 for me mastered the whole early 2000's urban East Coast look with the whole du-rags, fitteds, tank tops, white tees, sports apparel, camo, baggy jeans, etc. Then he had his own clothing line. 50 made waves in the fashion game, once that style became dated he was never able to adjust.

DMX. 50 was from the same lane as DMX
X had niccas wearing ski goggles in the hood for a brief moment :usure: he was lowkey fly the beginning of his run but his style declined as the years went by.... I'll give X the benefit of the doubt though cause on was a crackhead for a good portion of his life so his thought process and perception on shyt is gon be a lil impaired

I recall most niccas back then dressing like Dipset though and we're from the same area :patrice: ... from a national aspect outside of urban I agree with your sentiment but like you said by the latter end of the mid 00s it became outdated and he couldn't adapt for like the next 4-5 years ...
