50 Cent is a perfect example of the power of the Interscope marketing machine. He has no personality outside of being an always angry gossiper. That's why his music sucks. He is a boring person. When you team up a below average pen game with no personality you get generic, boring music.

His fans are a direct reflection of him. All of them are weirdos who you know are stuck dressing like Curly did in 2005 trying to relieve the days when they were high school. This is the musical representation of 'lacking swagger'

X had more confidence n charisma than most of the NY greats. Its was just in a different form. You can argue X was more charismatic than Nas n Hov

I agree. Same with 50 Cent at the time and Prodigy in his prime. But this thread is strictly about clothes

I think 50 was good til the clothing line and sneaker thing popped off. Him and g unit wore that shyt all the time making them swag less in my opinion.

Them sneakers and them clothes was trash and nikkas would get roasted for wearing that shyt.

That video game was dope tho

From an attire aspect .... ranging from virtually every era in NYC rappers who were on top for regardless of the duration of time they we're poppin set notable trends From Slick Rick Wu tang , Nas , Jay , Camron (Dipset In General) , Max B .... but now that I think about it 50 lacked that fly characteristic that most NYC rappers possessed ... shyt I recall my moms purchasing me a Gunit shirt and I wore it too the park and the older niccas roasted me into the next century ... mind you this is summer of 05 when G-unit/50 was at its peak in popularity

A variation of du rags and fitted w/ the white T was fifs default wardrobe for the entire 2000s even after Dipset put bagged clothes to a cease fif still continued to sport that until probably earlier this decade

So basically my question is what's stated in the title , was fif one of the first NYC rap superstars to not usher in a new wave of style / swag :ld:

He views clothing as raw material stitched together.......

and let's face it...that suits his gully image to a tee
