Most scholars also say that Egypt was diverse but they never really say what that means.
What did ancient Egyptian diversity really look like?
Ancient Egyptians originated from the Nile Valley, Green Sahara, and Horn of Africa. In other words, you would find
Niger-Congo, Khoisan, Pygmy, Cushytes, and Nilotic people in ancient Egypt. This isn't speculation at all.
When they compare the skeletal remains of ancient Egyptians to others, their closest relatives are Tropical Africans.
Their Skulls are indistinguishable from Nubian and East Africans.
Their DNA is all over the place. Middle Kingdom had Cushytic DNA, the 18th Dynasty had Chadic (Hausa) DNA, the 20th Dynasty had Bantu DNA.
There was a minority that had non-black origins but they were definitely under 10% of the population. Egypt was ethnically diverse, not racially diverse.

I was thinking about putting PAWG some where in the title:lolbron:
i would normally agree but there is plenty of evidence that there were hyksos dynasties (canaanite)

not including the Ptolemies and Persian Pharoahs as well

so in very truth, there were asiatics inside Egypt not just African so yes it was racially diverse not just ethnically

I dont know how much the Quran talks about the peoples of Egypt but the Bible clearly indicates that there were Assyrians and Israelites

From the Egyptians perspective these people werent necessarily "alive" in the sense that they were though.

Ancient Egypt was a dynasty that spanned 3,000-5,000 years, so it makes sense for it to become diverse overtime. But that does NOT mean it was diverse in its origin.

And ancient Greek and Roman scholars described the people of ancient Egypt as having dark skin and woolly hair as well.

Also take into account that Ancient Egypt was a civilization that branched off from the ancient Nubians, you can understand how things came to be.

This total disregard for basic logic and overlooking history to jump to inane conclusions is annoying. White/light skin wasn't prominent during the origins of the ancient Egyptian empire. The Yamnaya people were still in the Caucus mountains at the time as well.

No different than everyone on this very board distancing themselves from being African.

The Quran only mentions Egypt as ‘Masr’ and in two separate dynasties. Not much relevance to it besides location of the events.

One where it was a ‘king’ dynasty during Yusuf timeline

One where it was a ‘pharaoh’ dynasty during Moses timeline

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
from what I have read, is that it was a mixed kingdom of different people

it was the ancient junction between africa and asia before Europe had significant kingdoms/cities

several nomes in Egypt have documentation indicating foreign settlement and peace between certain kingdoms depending on the year

there is also evidence that Egypt were some of the earliest domesticators, not only honing down the breeds of cattle but also of different types of vegetables and fruits.

fun fact, in the free Age of Empires game the Egyptians are the tutorial civilization, and only make war on Canaan.

However, in other games they were the target of Atlanteans, Persians, Greeks and Romans. All civilizations they had to ultimately bow to. I always find this particular page interesting and why they deified it (her), the "game woman"

Now you as a Christian should know the children of Ham and Shem were darkskin/fair skinned black people.

Japheth's descendents were afro-asiatic and lighter.

As people migrated, hair texture and skin pigment changed.

Even the Egyptian holy trinity (Osiris, Isis, Horus) were painted black.

It is disappointing that this topic still must be discussed in 2023. If you scour the internet about the racial origins of ancient Egypt, you’ll find that most people believe they were non-black. The answer is obvious to anyone with eyes and common sense. However, there are still detractors even on this website like @Dafunkdoc_Unlimited and @Sccit while some others are unsure. Here’s a simple way to prove that the ancient Egyptians were black.

This common cultural attire for ancient Egyptian males of all classes was a kilt and no top. They were shirtless in the hot desert climate, building architectural marvels like pyramids, temples, palaces, etc.

We can easily rule cacs out of the equation. But what about Arabs and Berbers? IF you know anything about Arabs, they use something far more powerful than sunscreen to protect their skin. They use long and flowing clothes to protect their skin and have some air flow.

The heat in the Horn of Africa is more unforgiving than in Egypt. Using common sense we can easily come to the conclusion that only black people can be the ancient Egyptians. Furthermore, this debate was ended by Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop and Dr. Obenga almost half a century ago in the 1974 Cairo Symposium where they defeated cac and Arab Egyptologists. It is sad that people still believe this topic is up for debate.

U GOT THE WRONG PERSON, MOST ANCIENT EGYPTIANS WERE BLACK AND/OR MIXED

THERE WERE STILL NON-BLACK EGYPTIANS BUT THEY WERE THE MINORITY

PLEASE KEEP MY NAME OUT YO MOUTH IF U JUST GONE FALSELY SLANDER ME BRODIE

you mean Khnum Satet and Anuket?

different dynasties changed the traditions...

it is not completely clear that Japheth was of light complexion. Its only speculated.

The reason I say this is there is plenty of evidence that people in ancient greece were in fact dark skinned...

"there were giants in the earth in those days..."
