JLO and Kim K moved the needle for non black women. Ass always been big in the black community.

But on videos it didn't get big until the late 80s rap showing half naked women. Like 2 live crew. Music just wasn't visually explicit back then and the videos that were shown in the late 80s and early 90s would have been banned before that time. And even then they were semi banned in the late 80s and early 90s. People forget that 2 live crew's do do brown video could only be played on pay per view video shows like the Box station. MTV would edit out portions of sir mix a lot I like big butts.

Even if non banned rap videos had girls with big butts in them. MTV would cut out scenes where the girls asses were shown.

But overall its two things.
