Skip to 2:30 for the scene I'm referring to. One of my favorite clips and IMO one of the most impactful scenes in the game. Honestly, when I first watched this cutscene years ago I agreed with CJ's stance and still do. I mean, considering what he went through with losing his brother and losing multiple homies banging with GSF couldn't blame him for not wanting to go back after he's finally seen a better way I life. What did/do y'all think about it? :ld:

fukk the hood. His question was valid: what the hood ever do for him? Show him misery, fear for his life, etc. CJ sees life from a larger scope than his brother did. His brother was just fine banging and living a simple, if fukked up, kinda life.

Ask folks, man, who wants to live in the hood? Very few people. You wish you could take your people and things you love with you, but the poverty? The stress? The daily bullshyt that people guilt you about walking out on when it is your time?

No he is not a c00n, and his brother has a good heart, but he too at the end of the day is nothing more than a banger. CJ worked his ass off to the point that he got himself and his peoples money straight, and with some work, it wouldnt involve having to move work or kill anybody anymore. Small-minded folk like CJs brother end up keeping the cycle going. He has an opportunity to do more than live and die in his little corner of a shytty ass, g'd up neighborhood, and carry folks with him.

GTA SA was one of the best GTA games(still like Vice City more...:manny:), but I don't know about being a c00n but CJ was a bumbling fool like Finn from Star Wars. People ALWAYS had to tell him what to do. It was like he didn't know what he wanted. Meanwhile Tommy Vercetti wanted to conquer the world.:banderas:

As for Sweet, guy was a small and simple minded buffoon who kept holding CJ back. Why? When CJ became rich especially after being in Las Ventures and becoming the manager of Madd Dogg this lame still wanted to live in the hood and play gang banger.

Looking out for your own well-being doesn't make you a c00n

Cj made a decision that some people in that situation can make and choose not to, can't be mad at a dude who wants something more than dead homies.

If he moves and completely forgets about all his peeps and family still in the shyt, then there's an argument that he's a c00n

Really though what can the hood do for anybody, Cj was right. Same thing with how Harriet Tubman wanted to free slaves but found out that they have been so institutionalized and brainwashed into believing that they're life of misery is better than what they could have.
