Maybe if he stayed, things would be different, though....
:francis:Like a brotha can't find something better to do with his life than fight over territory in shytty ass poor neighborhoods.

CJ was right. The people who love the hood can have it. CJ put himself in a position to change lives, and do more than rob and kill other people

to survive on land they don't own. There really is no defending the "ideal" of being a corner bum "fighting for your hood."

Yea sure run.

Then when the hood gets gentrified you will wonder why.
Smoke was too damn stubborn, he didn't even want to join the shyt CJ was in and get REAL paper. Could have taken that money back to the hood and raised it up. He didn't want to have shyt to do with CJ's success...

Can't help folks like that.

Then dont.

Go back to the hood and unite with only the up lifters and get shyt done.

If other groups can do it to our hoods then we can do it to our own hoods.

Wasn't it at this point in the game, most of the people living on Grove Street that CJ would consider family either were dead, left, or had betrayed him? He really didn't have anymore emotional ties left to stay there in the first place. I think Sweet was the only person left.

Tenpenny summed it up perfectly.
"Homies for life?, street loyalty?, that's all bullshyt Carl. Didn't you learn that when they ran you out of town, just cause you let Brian die? huh?" :wow: - Frank Tenpenny

He didn't owe them shyt after that. That was his brother too.
