Seriously, as a slave, what was he doing leading the charge against the British?
He was the first one shot, bruh, not the first one in battle. And he wasn't really leading the charge- if he was part of it, he was just at the head of a mob who went to attack the British soldiers for harrassing some locals. Other accounts say he was simply hanging around and happened to be the first one shot despite not really being involved (wouldn't surprise me.)
He wasn't a slave at the time of the incident, btw. It's hard to know for sure what his intentions were.

I was half joking with this thread. ButI always thought he was a slave.
