So the WHC lineage is not the WWE title lineage, and you know this.
They combined the world heavyweight lineage with the WWE title lineage, then put em both on the B show and made all that history the B-title to the brand new Universal belt with no history at all. Hence Balor winning the Universal and immediately he is treated as the bigger deal that they schedule on the Today Show as the new face of the company etc. Trying to blame Ambrose for stuff like that is Dumb Mark 101, its entirely WWE's decision. And if youre claiming he was the face of the Smackdown brand (not entirely true) then claiming he was anything other than successful in that role is illogical since Smackdown has been overall superior to Raw since the brand split.

Not even close. Miz's, Rollins' and Del Rio's were WAY worse.
His reign was just only 3 months. He was a transitional champion and did a good job to fill the void since Reigns got suspended. The intrigue of the draft added something to his run. He had a great match with Rollins on RAW and a good one on SmackDown. Moving on to the post draft the Ziggler/Ambrose feud from a promo aspect was way better than Balor/Rollins. Of course the match fell short because the crowd was dead. The Styles match at Backlash was great too. Ambrose has been cutting way better promos since being moved to SD.

You legit made that up

www.wwe.com/classics/titlehistory/wwe-world-championship

The WHC was never unified with WWE title.
Nah

The World Heavyweight Championship was unified with the WWE Championship to create the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs in December 2013. WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated World Heavyweight Champion John Cena in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match to unify both championships and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The new championship retained the lineage of the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship was retired, although the championship belts used to represent the two championships would adorn the WWE World Heavyweight Champion much like the Undisputed WWF Championship. A single championship belt was introduced in August 2014 to champion Brock Lesnar. Starting in June 2016 with the announcement of the new brand extension, while still using the single championship belt, the title was once again referred to being solely called the WWE Championship. It was renamed again in July that year to the WWE World Championship after champion Dean Ambrose was drafted to SmackDown.

I know you've erased Orton from your memory banks but this happened :manny:

Edit: I misspoke about the lineage, my bad. They still act like it though i.e. calling guys like Swagger a former world heavyweight champ while the current title is the same thing.

NOT WHC For those mentioning khali and ziggler and them

2010 sheamus and 2011 ADR deserve mention but damn, this title reign was a fart in the wind, and was incredibly un-entertaining. It will be "oh yeah :jbhmm: that happened" status very soon...just terrible with bad matches and a decreasing work rate and his most memorable moment was "PUBLIC HOUSING"

1/10 for real

It's up there, but Dean is such a weird character in general. He's not a good wrestler, nothing special on the mic and yet, I feel like the E didn't do right by him in that run. The Stone Cold pod didn't help him either, but still. Much like Bray Wyatt, I really want them (E) to commit to those characters and allow them to be that. No reason why Bray and Dean are dull characters. So easy to write out and build upon. Maybe the heel turn could help Dean.

Wikipedia is more legit than anything official WWE puts out.

Anyway, my larger point before all the lineage sidetracking is that it doesnt make sense to say "oh these guys dont count because they won the secondary title, not the real top belt" because what was the top belt is now treated as the secondary title to the new Universal one, so really Dean was in the same position as all those guys that held the big gold.

LOL it is THEIR HISTORY. You're looney
So what? Thats like saying you take everything presented in the Monday Night Wars specials as legit and the final say in how everything went down :mjlol: You're smart Gizz, I shouldnt have to explain this.

Anyway, respond to what I wrote in the last edit, thats the bigger discussion.

The universal belt is in the hands of Kevin Owens and previously Finn balor. two new champs with no title history, the other is in the hands of aj styles.

Nwa champ
Tna champ
Roh champ
Iwgp champ
Wwe champ

And he beat cena for a month or so straight...and now has the title that ACCORDING TO THEM is the same Bruno, hogan, rock, Austin, etc rocked.

You tell me which is more valuable.

Universal. They put it above the WWE title from the jump, as I said, which played a role in Dean's reign coming off as underwhelming to a lot of people.
