Put it to you like this...who wants to play Dru Hill in 2020? Lol. I play AZ, Jodeci, AZ Yet, Silk, Sam Cooke, Luther Vandross..even Kelly Clarkson got a ton of catchy ass hits from those first two albums. But Dru Hill? They like Ja Rule...keep their ass in the trash can.

Jodeci and Boyz II Men as better groups, for sure. But y'all really rank 112 over Dru Hill as well? 112, Jagged Edge level IMO

In terms of legacy, 112 and Jagged Edge are bigger. Dru Hill never transitioned into the '00's as a group. Sisqo had his solo career, buy again, it was one album that did really well. Do people even remember Sisqo dropping his second album that quietly went platinum?

Sisqo stole all of K-Cis vocal runs but I still fukked with their early music heavy.

Sisqo going solo for a bit fukked up their momentum in my opinion coz he just went all the way left with it

Nah but Unsung is moreso about not reaching your full potential or props than popularity.

On a side note, I hate how the show is starting to focus heavily on 90s act. Started out well varied but now it’s recent R&B acts :snoop:

I haven't seen many episodes but Unsung isn't JUST for acts that weren't popular but for acts like Bone Thugs who have basically been forgotten these days or are not talked about when people have a look back at the past.

Nobody's saying Dru Hill wasn't great. When I think of Dru Hill, I think of late '90's R&B. Post 1999, I can guarantee none of you could name a song (group or solo) without Google.

Jagged Edge and 112 were still going strong in the '00's and they debuted around the same time as Dru Hill.

Depends on your era, I am 34, so Dru Hill is iconic to me, classic middle school records, but do they compare sonically to Jodeci? I don't think so, but I didn't live Jodeci's music in real time.

Dru Hill from 1996-1999 was a great R&B run. Hook on that Wild Wild West song, What These bytches Want

In My Bed
We're Not Making Love Anymore
How Deep Is Your Love

Plus the album cuts, and Sisqo solo in 1999

If you weren't in middle school or high school when these songs were out esp. How Deep Is Your Love, than you may just not get how big they were.
Dat part.

And lets we not forget Sisqo had all the bishes rockin THONGS
