I have PTSD, but I also was able to lift my family out of poverty and use my benefits to pay for their college. I am currently looking into a benefit for land. I'm in a daily prayer group with different brehs that served.

I fought in wars that negatively affected me, but also opened my eyes to the savagery and love exhibited by humanity. I built a comaraderie with people from different cultures and beliefs. I felt the sting of coming home and being profiled after fighting for the profilers freedom. I saw my wife hold down a household in my absence.

If you don't know how to do what you want to do, it can help you with those skills in addition to life skills.

It ain't for everybody, but it can be if you're desperate enough.
Thanks for your service breh you're a true American hero. Not just a hero for the country but actually a hero to your family. Like you said you lifted them out of poverty and gave them a better chance in life. Thats the best sacrifice anyone can make. Sorry for your PTSD did you actually serve in combat?

Appreciated breh. Yeah, I served 2 tours in Iraq in Field Artillery and 1 tour in Afghanistan as an IT specialist.

He was talking from the perspective of a Vietnam vet
They didn’t get any fukking benefits or support when they came home
my old man and my uncle served over in vietnam and they both got the gi bill, the no down payment, low interest home loans, and my pops went to work for the defense industry in an executive position until he retired. i think most of the vietnam vets got their benefits. i believe it was the ww1 and ww2 vets that really got fukked over.
