Aside from HNIC, Prodigy is unlistenable as a solo artist. It’s like he forgot to rap and flow. His songs sounded like he was talking.

3 Stacks didn’t put out enough music to “fall off”. The Kast stuff is great but Mobb catalogue even better (IMO)

You obviously ain’t hear The Return of The Mac. P was spazzing on that album but I’d say that was the last time he was a great lyricist and started falling off but he had a 15 year career of consistently putting out music at that point.

Prodigy before the Murda Muzik leak was one of the dopest lyricists at least on the East Coast.

Andre is a poet on a very different level.

Unfortunately, after the leak (HNIC was kinda before the leak imo), Prodigy fell off quite some.

The best way to explain it is like Western conference vs Eastern conference. Dre was the 1 seed in the lesser eastern conference (the south), whereas Prodigy had to fight tooth and nail in the loaded western conference (prime 90s NY) and ended up a 5 seed.

So bc Dre was the 1 seed he’s perceived to be better. But it’s very possible the 5 seed out west >>>> a 1 seed in the east. Nuggets would smash the Pistons

In his prime yes, but Jay Z deflated the air from Prodigy because he was never the same lyrically after that Summer Jam screen. But both Big Boi and Dre are the most improved lyricists in hip hop history. The way Outkast was spitting on Stankonia is absolutely nothing like how they were rhyming on their first album. TI is also one of the most improved lyricists of all time. Dude was not lyrically impressive on his first album but by the time he did Paper Trails he was spitting like someone trying to impress east coast hip hop heads.
