they are both great but different type of lyricists

I prefer P but it comes down to where you're from and what you relate to

andre and its not even close even though P is one of the best to do it and even at a young age he was a legend

andre has verses alot of rappers whole cd's cant touch
id say his throwaway verses of the last 10-15 years could be considered better than artists actual catalogs

I'd honor every opinion but like I said, there's single andre verses better than some people's catalogs
youd be better off comparing lows, andre has lower lows than P ... similar to Qtip... for the sake of creativity its understood and cool
but P doesnt really have terrible songs.

Indeed. But I care way more about peak than longevity when it comes to rap. That's why Biggie was my GOAT for so long.

I much prefer 1995-1999 Prodigy over any version of Andre 3000.

Agreed. P is in my top ten favorite of all time. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who was better than him in 96/97. He was also unstoppable into 1999. And in the following years it's not like he fell off as much as he simply went from being unfukk-withable to just good/great depending on the year. Then he did fall off at some point, I'll admit.

But for my personal taste he's my guy. I was never a big Andre fan and hate seeing him in top 10s because I think a lot of people put him there off an image/rep that cacs created. Around the time when cacs were propping up Wayne, they went out their way to praise Andre as a smart/different rapper who was next level compared to the caveman raps of Big Boi. That's when that divide started IMO and then a lot of people started adding him to their top 10s despite not even being able to list their favorite verses. He's a GREAT rapper but I just felt like others (Common for instance) did that shyt better.

I hate 3k fans, easily one of my favourite rappers ever. I obviously prefer P, but they are so different got different objectives etc thats just too hard to compare them.
That being said, P's influence in and out of mobb deep is eternal at this point.
