Champions league
naw, there's alot of good players, but not ELITE... they had Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Garnett, AI, Vince, T-Mac, Kidd, Payton etc all in their primes..

today's NBA has what? Curry,Westbrook, Durant? an aging LeBron, Wade, Melo? etc then what?

lol in 2001 that was tmacs first season in orlando he averaged 26 points per game for a non playoff team,

the nba has just as much star power as it had 15 years ago if not more

for crying out loud

curry, harden, durant, westbrook, anthony davis, paul george are all 26 and younger

Man the NBA just seemed more raw back then, like somebody pointed out I can't imagine the stars of today's league celebrating like the East did after completing that comeback. Like you could tell winning that game mattered to them, even though the last few years the All Star game has been close it's never had that same intensity

92 All Star Game was the GOAT for me. Magic goin heads up with Jordan..Isaiah and dropping 3 pointers in their grill at the end of the game...so epic. One of the greatest stories in all of basketball.
Jordans farewell in 2003 was awesome too. Double OT...and the West won.

Probably the most important All Star Game ever too. Cuz remember after Dikembe showed out, Philly traded Theo Ratliffe for him a couple days later and they made that Finals run...

Personally I prefer 2003, but 2001 has a legit argument as best ever, can't be mad at that.

Y'all gotta stop with this "The NBA has no starpower now" stuff though. You don't have to make up shyt to prop up your nostalgic eras :mjlol:

For some reason, 2004 is my favorite game, I remember LOVING it when I was younger and have watched it so many times back. The rooke game that year was also the GOAT IMO

^ 2003 was stellar too

Watching the East celebrate at the end was great. You can tell the West was pissed they lost. The competitiveness throughout those highlights was great to see too. T-Mac blocking Kobe's fade away in the first quarter then Timmy D with a chase down block of a McGrady dunk :ohlawd:

All those guys were hungry to make a name for themselves and used the All Star game to show the world who who stands out the most. It will just take the right mix of players to bring that out. I think once these last couple draft classes start getting some all stars, you'll see them trying to prove they belong and the vets trying to show they're still a step above.

Most of the stars of the late/early 80's & 90s had either hung it up or fell off completely, really only Malone, David Robinson & Payton were left. The torched had been passed to the next generation.

Iverson was having his MVP year, Kobe was the next MJ, the height of Vinsanity, T Mac had emerged out of his cousin's shadow and was becoming a household name in his own right, C Webb was the heart of the greatest show on court, Duncan vs KG was the hottest debate in school at the time and Jason Kidd was about to carry the Nets to b2b finals. :mjcry:

AI, Kobe, Carter, C Webb, KG, Kidd etc all showed out. East coming back from 20+ down in the 4th. :childplease:and Starbury trading buckets in the clutch. My childhood :to:

Those shots Kobe was hitting down the stretch :wow:

You could apply that to any sport.
nah young....the stupid multiplies by 1,000,000 during NBA season when it's the only sport that has everyone's attention. Hot take and click bait threads pop up like mogwai's after they get wet (pause :dame:)
