Put it this way. If a Marine gets honorably discharged and decides to enlist in the Navy, he doesn’t have to go to their basic training. If someone from the other branches leave and enlist in the Marines, they still have to go to basic training.

it's training lol not indoctrination, indoctrination is basically forcing someone to act a way and has a negative connotation, like joining a cult or gang. You CHOOSE to be in the military and at the end of the day the profession is built around killing or the enemy wanting to kill you, it ain't disneyland.If you had an army, wouldn't you want them all on code? Indoctrination sounds like a bad word, but parents indoctrinate their kids. Teachers indoctrinate their students. And militaries indoctrinate their soldiers
I don't know about all that . I know they things for OSVETS but you still gotta go thru training and even being a squid I've seen many Marines who ain't worth a lick. I spent 3 years at Pendleton so I'm familiar with the jarheads

I wanted to be a drill sergeant because I thought it was the coolest job in the world. Getting paid to yell at mfs all day plus stay in shape keeping them in shape.
My question is are there rules in place that prohibit drills from banging recruits.. I was sent to fort Lee after basic for my AIT... THE AMOUNT OF WOMEN RECRUITS WERE OFF THE CHARTS.. every Monday bus loads of 18 to 20 year old women were delivered. BUS LOADS. All stressed out and horny. If I was knocking them down I know for a fact the DIs had to be too
