Was there more equality back then or now between men and women?

compared to white women
I was comparing women to women

and the info is interesting

You didn't single out white women in the first place. You essentially said the pay gap exists, but especially for black women. Studies indicate this assertion is not entirely true, even in the case of white women at times:

"Average wages are rising in Russia but not everyone is benefiting to the same extent. Women in Russia are paid around 40% less for their work than men, according to the Federal Statistics service and the gap has only been growing.

Less than a decade ago, women were paid 30% less.

Asked if education is a factor, Dr Elena Zotova of the Center for Strategic Research, says Russia is a special case: “The general education level of women is higher than that of a man. We have the wage gap in education in favour of women. But unfortunately this education has no consequences when men and women come to the labour market.”

I definitely believe women have more rights now than they even did in our parents' days but the increase in hedonistic culture, the deterioration of nuclear families and the lack of accountability is the reason why women probably feel like they're more oppressed now more than ever. It's both men and women's fault for things getting to where they are now but it's nothing that can't be salvaged if better judgement is exercised and moral compasses are adjusted.

You did say the wage gap is worse for black women. It isn't. In fact, in many ways, the wage gap is better for black women. At least in places like Egypt and Russia, two of the most populous countries in the world. :skip:

And I did call Russian women "white", didn't I?

I would call the last 100 years of female progress a war. You also can't say that men haven't forced women to be led by men. Men often use force and rape to coerce women into doing what they want, and there is a historical context for that behavior.

No we don't
