I haven't seen the original, that's the problem ...the original Carrie though :whoo:, chick from Robocop is in it, I would've gave her that work if we were the same age.

The new Carrie though :salute:, added a part of the book that was missing from the first film.

Definitely check out the original Hitcher breh. Got it on DVD when I was in college. I know it's around the net somewhere if you're bout that torrent life. Yeah the Carrie remake was cool, definitely could've went without the extra CGI they tossed in but everything else was on point, no complaints. I haven't read the book though so you'll have to fill me in

the original was only good off the strength of arnold's popularity at the time.

doing a remake without an arnold lead is destined to fail.

The movie plot isn't all that original or interesting when set aside those factors.

The main reason predator is better than all the sequels/ arnold

think about it.
take your favorite action stars best movie and replace him with a no name actor and you'll realize how shytty some of our favorite films are.

Enter the Dragon without Bruce Lee equals :gag:
people need to think more clearly before doing remakes.
I could see harry potter remake because thats a world that would interesting regardless of the cast.
but try doing an expendables 5 with people you never heard of. :smh:

I don't think the remake did what it did because of a lack of Arnold. The story, at least to me, is an interesting one. The problem with the remake was that it played everything too safe and too bland. It just sat there, it did everything a competent movie should but it didn't have a director who had a specific vision for it or something he wanted to tell. I think the success of Total Recall is more because of Verhoven, not Arnold. Verhoven is the cat with a unique view of the world and of certain stories. A story like "We can remember it wholesale for you" needs a guy behind the camera who has some balls. Len Weisman isn't that dude, never has been. At the end of the day, that kinda movie starts and ends with the talent behind the camera just as much as the talent in front of it. That's why the Robocop remake works better in my view, because the director and writers had something new to say about the world we live in now, not the 1980s

Not the worst, but it was bland as hell. Pretty much only rented it due to Biel and Beckinsale

Now I'm not saying it was great but at least it had something total recall didn't which was something unique about it as opposed to just being bland. Len Weisman is a bland director, no one should've been shocked when the movie turned out the way it did

:ahh:
I was just reading the short story this week. Only the beginning of the story is similar to the movies. The remake was alright but quite unnecessary
