Yao struggled a little at first but his last few years he was the best big man in he game and was killing teams on the regular. The only thing that stopped him was the foot injuries. And for everyone comparing him to Brook, Brook never averaged 25 a game or 10 rebounds a game. And im pretty sure he will never get to a 10 rebound a game average.

I see what you mean in a sense but the 90's had great and very solid centers:

Dream
Shaq
Ewing
D-Rob
Mourning
Seikaly (for a time before injuries was damn good)
Smits
Mutumbo
Brad Daugherty

Yeah true but the 2000's had just as many. The position just switched from center to power forward mainly.

Duncan
KG
Dirk
C-Webb
Yao
Shaq
Sheed

Almost all of those dudes were in their primes during that decade and all of them were all-stars and you got 4 Hall Of Famers in that bunch

yep and not to mention Antonio McDyess prime which would of been in the 2000's was robbed too and if I include Mutombo in the 90's then you could make a case of including Camby for the 2000's.

malbaker86 listed Zo, so now you have to take Shaq out of your list, and you might as well take out Webber since he was '93 AND played the 4 exclusively, so did Dirk, and KG. Sheed's best years he was a 4. Then you have their games; by the 00s, Sheed was a 3pt shooter, Dirk started off as a 3, so did KG and they were both high-post out and jumpshooters. Webber's knees were shot by turn of the century so he mostly played from 15'.

But Shaq and C-Webb hit their primes and had their best seasons in the 2000's though, Zo had his best years in the 90's. That's why I said in that post that there were great big men they just moved over to a new position. All of those guys were 6'10 and up so they were still big men, they just werent centers

KG, C-Webb, Duncan, and Dirk (when he needed to) all could play with their back to the basket as well as step out and hit jumpers. But they could still anchor a defense like a center (except Dirk), grab 10 plus boards and block shots like a center
