That's debatable. Right now, The Wiz have more impact players than the Pistons.
No, we have one impact player in Wall.

Pistons have a potential best in the eastern conference front court with Drummond and Monroe.

Cap room for what :mindblown:
Look, we have a team. Is a young team.

if its a young team, and you have no cap room, then thats a problem. Young team should mean rookie contracts, which should mean a lot of cap room. Its the opposite with the Wizards.

But we see the difference Wall makes and how much better he makes everyone else. Drummond does not make that impact at this point in time.

Wall has much more talent around him than Drummond too. I like Monroe, but he's not a monster. Just a solid 4.

You keep talking about Cap room like if we need to sign a bunch of players?
If we were to sign somebody, we'd trade somebody :hula:
Ernie has more than proven he can handle that, so I don't see what your worried about.
We don't need bread to sign a draft pick, so what is the issue?
We straight at the Center position with Omeka and maybe a draft pick?
PF we got Nene + Seraphin. Vesely can be a 3rd string for both positions.
Booker can play the 3 or 4 depending on the matchups
Singleton and Ariza at the 3 spot. Martell Webster also at the 3 and sometimes 2
Crawford and Beal at the 2.. Wall/Price/ at the 1.. Temple can play 1/2

We a lil thin at the PG and C right this second. WE don't need huge cap room to fix those issues. Just more experience with our core should fix most of our issues. Who you have in mind via free agency anyway??? :birdman:

big men>>guards

And Drummond is still a rookie who aint starting. Im not gonna attribute Detroit's record with his impact.

Wall does have better talent, but better talent to be a 7th or 8th seed.

On top of that, the Pistons have cap flexibility... the Wizards do not.

It's a guard league now. Last year's Finals matchup didn't have any dominant bigs, merely serviceable.

We know damn well nobody's signing there unless they're overpaying for Ben Gordons and Charlie Vs. Dumars hasn't shown any capabilities of building a good team since '04 and has consistently made the wrong move.

How much of Washington's money is coming off the books after next year (I genuinely don't know)?

its a guards league by circumstance, not design.

Drummond has potential to be a truly dominant big man defensively and offensively.

If OKC had a good offensive big man, they probably beat Miami.

if Drummond and Monroe play to their potentials, I think players will come.

Washington are up against the cap until 2014.

edit: the way Wall just exploded by Johnson and Williams just now :damn: :wow:

Probably, but there aren't many of those anymore. I need to see Drummond and Monroe be as dominant as Westbrook and Durant before I say Detroit's bigs can make them contenders. Guys COULD come, but who's the last big FA that Detroit has signed? I'll believe it when I see it.

Washington's got a pretty solid roster top-to-bottom:

Wall/Price
Beal/Crawford (they need Beal to improve though. Wall should help with that)
Webster/Ariza
Nene/Seraphin/Booker
Okafor/???

That's an athletic, young squad. Okafor could be a good trade chip next year too if they regress or need to make a move to improve the squad. Plus, they're gonna have another high draft pick after this season.

Yeah, shouldn't our draft pick this year be one of the centers coming out of college
Maybe we get big white boy from Indiana?
I'm sure there's other options, either will be fine to backup/compliment Okafor
Then Vesely should be able to play the same position WELL in 2yrs imo

Future lookin mighty bright...

It seems that way to me. As we saw earlier this year though, health is probably their biggest concern. Stay healthy and they should be in the playoffs next year.
