I got a love/hate relationship with The Wire

I hate all the political scenes and plots

I hated all the boat yard shyt too

The kids come in at the right time because that shyt was getting stale

There are some loose ends tied up in S2 from S1 as well. It can be a slow moving season somewhat. You will come to hate Ziggy when it's over.

I am almost halfway through S2 and I can say that is is moving pretty slow regarding the Barksdale plot, but this maritime thing is picking up.

It's real clear that they tried hard to finesse this switching of themes.

Regarding season 2, they had to add white people to the show as it was too "black" to cross over to white audiences, hence the storyline with the white boys.

That season really did set up the story for the later seasons though.

You weren't kidding. This Eastern European thing kinda comes out of nowhere. They really shoehorned them into the plot.

i rewatch this and sopranos at least once a year. shyt is classic
sucks they kill off avon barksdale in the first episode of the second season and mcnulty is also killed off by bunk of all people in that drug sting that goes awry. who would've thought bunk was crooked n working with stringer the entire time
