That supposed to be some huge deterrent to addiction when failing health, broken families, poverty, loss of mental state, jail, etc... isn't.

Oh but I'm getting roasted...if you don't gtfo:laff:

No....I said BACK. THEN. You, speaking In general not actually YOU, would get roasted if you did something other than weed. In the 90’s.

How did you confuse that? Are you playing fortnite? :pachaha:

Uh, So was I.

What's wrong with some of ya'll and reading comprehension:thumbsdown:

You're saying people got roasted as if that's some sort of clear evidence against blacks doing hard drugs that's why I know for a fact that you don't understand whats going on

nikkas really think nikkas in the hood is only selling drugs to white people LOL
TBH With the harder drugs if you not actively in that world buying/selling you won't really know how it's going down. Ya next door neighbor could have more dog food than Purina and you'll never know if you not living like that lol . Hell I got one dude I been getting weed from for like 7 years and I just found out he sold other shyt a few years back

That's what I'm trying to tell these people.

they don't really know outside their own bubble.

plus people like to keep hard drug use private...is that a bad thing?? No. So by default you're not really gonna know who's into what anyway

Made in 1999 tho:manny:

:mjlol: Like I already said, around the turn of the century was a whole new era, Eminem was running hip hop, 80’s babies were all 20 years old, a new breed of teenagers were running around.

The menace 2 society/juice/pac/biggie era was over...in that era, the only drug of choice was weed. :francis:

Fixed

Some of yall generation x/millenial nikkas sound sheltered. Been watching too many public enemy videos.:mjlol:

Tell me how 'hidden' tha subject matter of these songs are.

I will admit society nowadays has become more sympathetic to tha user, but:

A: society has become more sympathetic to alot of shyt at large

B: To argue tht black ppl all of a sudden just started using hard drugs in 10 years ago out of nowhere is laughable

Just be real, you weren't in those kinds of circles to even know what was goin on.

This ain't a jovial ice cube movie.

You’re the second person to say this

Let some of these dudes tell it, every teenager in the hood in the 90’s had a belt tied around their arm and burnt spoons under their bed :russ:

I remember explicitaly in 8th grade folks found out these two dudes did coke and folks used to stay roasting them and call them gay.

I remember in HS popping pills was seen as something gay folks and white people did.

It wasnt until I got to college and folks got on that “white boy wasted rockstar” crap did pills become somewhat “acceptable”.

I always felt that if you are Black in america and you were doing drugs other than weed after 1993 you were an idiot and i dont care what happens to you. We made it out the crack era and you became a “new” j then you deserve to die :yeshrug:

That article is poorly sourced and largely has to do with black gays (meth has been used in the gay community for years now though). But only a small minority of black men are gay anyway and an even smaller number of them are engaging in the drug taking behaviors of their white counterparts.

But like I said, as far as black people in general are concerned, the evidence is...thin, if not wholly nonexistant. And to excuse the obvious lack of citations or any real evidence of this so-called rising trend, the author states "A google search on this problem will only bring back a few documented instances of how bad it is becoming for Black folks in major metro areas." So all that's really saying is "well, you won't find much evidence to back up what I'm saying ...but believe me anyway!" It don't work like that.

The article goes on to say meth 'appears to be overtaking crack and powder cocaine in LA’s Black neighborhoods.' Well, first of all that's not surprising because people have mostly moved away from crack overall and powder never really took off LIKE THAT in the BC in the first place. That proves nothing. Coconut water could "overtake" coke and crack in the BC if that's the case.
Meth has always had one of the strangest demographic breakdowns of any drug. Only very particular subcultures have ever dealt with it to a significant degree.

Bikers (usually white) cook & sell it in smaller batches.

Mexicans (in Mexico) produce it on a massive scale, then smuggle it north and sell it through local distributors (including bikers).

Long-haul truck drivers & other working class / lower-middle class physical laborers (usually white - but many Chicanos as well) use it for energy on the job.

Gays (of all races) use it to increase sexual endurance :dame: and party for days straight without sleep.

Probably the only time straight black folks have done it is if the E pills they took one night at the club were cut with it.

When I discovered the meth and heroin community on Tumblr and saw Black people :mjlol:
Of course most are swirlers :mjlol:
But wasn't 1/2 of Cash Money on dog food :gucci:
But there isn't anything new about hard drug use and the AA community, unfortunately :wow:

Some of yall generation x/

I’ve literally said 3 times now, that Memphis was on that “funky town” in the 90’s...3 times.

And you go ahead post one of the songs from a Memphis artist as your argument anyway.
giphy.gif

But again, I never saw anybody my age doing it, I’ve never even heard it - also none of my old friends/classmates are addicts...some drink too much but not drug addicts

Heroin been a problem for us since the Jazz days.

Most of those dudes were on that shyt.
Then the wave of brehs who got hooked on it in Vietnam...after they saw that horrific shyt, they stayed hooked when they came back :mjcry:
This new uptick in heroin use among black folks is brehs slowly migrating from syrup :francis:

Heroin is cheaper, stronger, and easier to get. Mexicans making a killing off that shyt :wow:
