Also one thing that was lowkey dope is if you pay attention to the transition songs, they're all remakes of NYC rap beats that were poppin at the time. Like in the first three seasons I recognize a bunch of Black Moon, Redman, Tribe, Busta, and even D'Angelo songs. They used Enta Da Stage and Who Got Da Props pretty frequently in season 1.
