I notice with black sitcoms once the main setting changes, the show is infinitely better and funnier.

Examples changing the look of Pops Diner, Changing the living room and kitchen on Fresh Prince

Martin would be the exception because it was great off rip. But the funnier episodes are after they changed the color scheme in the kitchen

I randomly put on one episode as “background noise” the other night and ended up watching 4 episodes and the first Scary Movie. Was dying laughing like I never even saw them before

Jamie Foxx show was good off the rip, it was actually more wild and funnier when they had the darker scheme in the hotel lobby, when it changed to white, it was still funny as hell don’t get me wrong but there was a bit more drama added.

I liked the UPN version of In the House (seasons 3-4) a lot more than the NBC version (seasons 1-2). It's weird how they fired Winifred Hervey when it was her show, but it got a lot more energetic on UPN.

Watching all 5 seasons on YouTube last year, I was thinking had it started as the UPN version that maybe it lasts 3 seasons on NBC. Nothing against the Debbie Allen led version, but it was missing something that the top 90s had.
