Even if the mother isn't with the dad, a boy needs a father in their life. And of course not all single mothers are bad, but the ratchet ones are the target of this shyt.
It's not even about that though, that's the whole point of the piece. I don't think any woman sets out to screw up her children.
It just happens.


fast-forward, she got two cars, graduated after working her ass off between community college and her banking gig, and her son is healthy and happy and enrolled in a private school. I was always cool with her, so its just kinda crazy to see how her priorities were just different. I WILL say that its not as common as I'd like to see, but success in general isn't as common as I'd like to see. Its hard out here for everyone. If you got kids, harder. If you're doing it solo, harder still. If you're black on top of that, well damn. So props to the ones who do it right. They deserve it.
