Imagine if Judge didn't miss so much time with injuries. He's missed about 3 months over the past two seasons and still the 3rd fastest.

Sometimes we forget that outside of the deep pockets, he has wayyyy deeper analytics on these dudes and is prepared to walk away when teams and agents try to overvalue players. But just the same, it doesn't take a genius to hang up the phone on a GM asking for Gleyber for Marcus Stroman, Trevor Bauer, Robbie Ray or Madbum. Ultimate non-starter.

This year alone, he picked Tauchmann, Ursela, Maybin for just about nothing, and each of them have made significant contributions to the team this season. Credit is due. But, he did forego Corbin for Happ & CC.
