They're not trading Frazier for a rental.

I'd expect another Micheal Pineda/Montero like trade.

Potential for Potential with the same amount of control left remaining on the years.

Luis Castillo fits the bill and the Yankees are a perfect match for the Reds.

The Reds are not trading Luis Castillo at all.

Boyd is more likely than anyone given what Detroit has to work with and they'll ask for the moon.

I want Frazier in the NL though. I don't want him haunting the Yankees. His numbers with RISP is what we want so bad from Stanton.

& ?

I dont get the logic that says the Yankees need to trade Fraizer for a rental or anything less than a starter that doesnt have front line starter stuff.

Boyd doesnt have front line stuff.

You also can't assume what the price will be until you actually court the team which is what the Yankees have done in regards to Castillo in traded dialog involving other players (IE Sonny Gray).

Castillo hasn't even been in trade talks though. Like at all. There's no reason to think he'll be in rumors now.

And neither was Pineda when he was traded for Montero.

If you know the way this front office moves and how they move in silence then you can easily see this being a pitcher that fits the metrics that they value the most in a starting pitcher.

That trade happened in the off season though and Pineda was always a wild card when it came to health.

Again why would the Reds trade their coveted ace whose cheap in the middle of the year?

The M's needed offense at that time way more than they needed pitching.

Look at how inept that lineup was. They thought they were dealing for a guy who could turn into Manny Ramirez.

I don't think they view Castillo for Frazier as an equal swap. The only you have is that they were dumb enough to trade for Gray AND give him an extension.

If I’m giving up Frazier, I want Scherzer. Just go get the proven guy.

I want Scherzer too but breh Frazier ain't even enough for him. It'll be a gut punch to the system if they get him.
Oh yeah, I just meant I don’t want him going as a main piece or one of the main pieces for another unproven guy. Young cheap pitchers with potential are great but I want a proven guy this time, don’t want another Verlander type slipping away again.

Yeah facts I just hope that the teams that the Yankees are willing to trade with don't :whoa: away from him because of his shoddy defense.

One reason to worry when trading with these NL teams.

Hindsight , his bill of health previous to that trade was clean. He wasn't an injury risk.

Besides , at that time the Yankees biometrics staff wasnt in place to evalute trades from a health standpoint at that time.
